Ohmigosh! If your still reading this, I just wanted to say that I am so so so so so so so sorry for not updating in such a long time! My only excuse (not really a good one) is that I am very lazy (also, it's the holiday season!)! I'll try to keep updating, even if the chapters end up being a little bit short. Tell me what you think in the comments!

In the future at Kris' house (because I'm lazy like that)...
Like the caring goat mom that she is, Toriel decided that it would be best if Noelle stayed for a little while, atleast, until they knew that everything was alright. Her dad was in the hospital and her mom was fine with it, so why not? Kris and Susie had been gone nearly a full 24 hours now, and this was troubling, to say the least. They're strong! They'll get through it! I hope... Noelle's thoughts soon interrupted as Toriel sat in chairiel, across from her.
They both decided to discuss what happened before Susie left. They knew different things, but we're happy to share what they knew with eachother.
"So, who are we gonna talk about first, ms. Toriel?" Noelle asked, sitting up taller in her chair and speaking with confidence.
"Well... I know about my child rather well, so, I am more worried about Susie." She turned away for a second, not wanting to speak to the deer directly at that minute.
Noelle froze at the statement, "Oh! Really? Why? I thought that she was stronger than that! Did something happen?!?!" She questioned.
"Why, yes. She... She did something even I thought that no one could ever do..."
"Wait, what did she do?" The young female looking up, excited yet shocked and scared of this turn of events.
"Susie. She ripped her soul in two!"
"Oh, my- why would she do that?"
"Did she ever tell you... About her family?"
"No, never! I don't really know her, and she only talks to Kris, most of the time."
"I knew that their bond was strong. Yet, would you like me to tell you about it?"
                              "O-okay!"
"Well, her backstory is pretty long, and dark for even her. She told Kris and I that she grew up with only a father figure in the home. Her mother? Long gone. Susie's father never did care much for her, so she found ways to live, protect, and care for herself. If you get to know her, even a little bit, you'd know that she uses her pain as an excuse to hurt others. It is no reason, yet you cannot blame her! I feel that she is hurting too much, both emotionally and physically. Do you understand what I mean, Noelle?" The teacher explained, shifting from a stare and serious voice to a calm and welcoming one, losing the stare and slightly smiling.
"O-oh, yes. I... Never really thought of it like that... Before..." Noelle stuttered, stunned by the information that she had just barely received.
"Thank you. I believe that if you really wanted to, you and Susie could be quite good friends!" Toriel stated.
"I'll try my best!" Noelle smiled.
She knew that Susie never really liked to have or make friends, she didn't even like people sometimes! Kris, on the other hand, had made quite a few since coming back from the darkworld. Susie only had Lancer, Kris, and Ralsei, for sure to be atleast somewhat friends with. Noelle and Toriel sat in the livingroom chairs, she was excited to meet a new friend, hopefully. Susie. She only ever heard that name from the teacher, her classmates spreading rumors or whatnot, group projects, and introductions at the beginning of the year. No one really tried to talk to her in the beginning, so she just accepted the loneliness. Just then, there was a knock at the door. Two, to be exact.
"Who is there?" Toriel asked back to the knock and standing up from the chair she was sitting on.
"theodore." A seemingly young man's voice sounded from the door. Are they seriously doing a knock-knock joke right now?!?! Noelle thought.
"Theodore who?" Toriel chuckled. She opened the door to reveal a short skeleton in a white shirt and blue sweater. He had black shorts with a white stripe running down either side, and light pink slippers on his feet. The skeleton came equipped with a ketchup bottle and something that looked like a backpack.
"theodore was closed, so I knocked!" He smiled, though from what Noelle and anyone else could probably see, the smile was permanent.
Toriel laughed, pretty hard at the joke. Noelle couldn't help but stare at the stranger in the doorway.
"Oh! Noelle, I'm sorry! This is sans!" Toriel looked back at Noelle and motioned to who she now knew as sans.
                              "heya, kiddo!" He waved.
"H-hi!" She stood up and walked towards the two other monsters carefully.
"tori? sorry if i'm wrong, but is she yours, too?" He tried to be quieter than usual.
"No, sans. This is Noelle holiday, a friend of Kris'."
"heh, nice. well, i haven't been here for over a week how's everything going? also, speaking of kris, where is the kiddo? normally when i come to visit he runs down the stairs, up to me, and then points at me saying 'no funny business with mah mom'!
"Well, everything is going alright. We are not really sure of Kris' location. You see, sans, he went to go and find Susie. I doubt that you would know her. She only got here about a week ago!"
"hmm... susie? yep, i think that i do know her! tall, purple, introverted?"
"Yes!" Noelle nodded, happy to know that atleast someone else knew her.
"May I ask how? (And how did you know about the introverted part?)" Toriel questioned. She whispered the last part.
"i think that I know her dad or something. that was a long time ago. i don't really know how she's been doing recently because i haven't seen her for a while, but other than that, we were pretty okay with eachother." Sans explained, pacing the livingroom.
"Her dad wasn't a nice person, was he?" Noelle asked.
"i think that he put on this 'nice guy' act. he kept asking me to do stuff for him, and if i refused, something bad always happened. i, at the time, was about 9 or so years younger and totally didn't want that, especially with my little brother needing care. i knew that he was planning something, all of the things that he asked me to get were either weapons, or, anything that he could use to hurt someone, even his daughter..." Sans looked down, somewhat in shame.
"i could've stopped him when i had the chance. one day, he brought what he said who his 'daughter', and i immediately notice the scratches, bruises, and all of the things you could expect from being abused. i got close to the kid, and she told me what her dad was doing. i didn't do anything, even though i could've... but, of course, things changed and they moved away. now i know that i came to the right town to find her."
"That's wonderful!" Toriel hugged sans, "Not that she was abused back then, too, but that you two were rather close! Even if it was many years ago, I bet that she still remembers you, as well!"
"how has she been, anyways?" Sans asked, making the two girls think of a straight forward answer...
Woo! Again, sorry for the wait on this chapter! Happy new years and I just wanna know what you guys think is going to happen next! Comment an answer and I also would like new story suggestions. I have a few in mind, but I need some second opinions to make sure! This chapter is over 1300 words so hopefully it can make up for the days without an update? Thanks for the support and bye!

In And Out (a deltarune fanfic)
FanfictionThis is my interpretation of one of my favourite Deltarune characters' (Susie) life after the Darkworld adventure. Deltarune and all of it's characters belong to Toby Fox, and there will be crossovers from Undertale, also by Toby Fox. There will not...
