Chapter 14: Welcome

My reeeeeeally weird drawing of papyrus, lol! I don't really draw ut characters much (or draw alot at all), but this was an acception (I asked someone what I should draw and they said this, lol)!

Those four word made Susie freeze. Adopt her?

"R-really...?" She was on the verge of tears again.

"Yes. I believe you deserve a place to actually call home!" Toriel smiled softly.

"I'd like that!" She ran up to hug her soon-to-be mom.

"Wait... So, I'm gonna have a sister? Cool!" Kris remarked and joined to hug.

"When will it be official?" Susie looked up at Toriel.

"We can do it tomorrow, if you'd like."

"Yeah!"

"I know that we are having a moment, but may I ask why your hair is up?" Toriel snickered as she looked at her soon-to-be daughter.

"Oh, I forgot! I gotta go to Sans' at 4 to babysit his brother!" She replied backing out of the hug.

"Well, that is fine! Just don't stay out to long afterwards!"

"Heh, I won't!"

The three talked for a while, until it was 3:30.

"I should get going! I gotta be there in half an hour!" Susie smiled.

"Have fun!" Kris and Toriel said as she walked out the door and waved.

It wasn't too long of a walk to Sans' place, but enough she should leave early to get there on time. She reached the house Sans said to meet after around 20 minutes. She was early, but that was fine. She knocked on the door after a minute and Sans came to answer it.

"Hey!" Susie waved, looking down at her friend.

"'sup, kid!" Sans replied.

"BROTHER!" A voice called from inside that house.

"yeah, paps?" He looked back inside.

"WHO IS THERE?" The naive sounding voice asked.

"my friend. she's gonna take care of you while I'm gone."

"BUT, SANS! I CAN TAKE CARE OF MYSELF!"

"don't think that i forgot what happened last time!" Sans chuckled.

"AWWW!" He pouted. The voice becoming stronger as it was probably coming closer.

"come say hi, paps! i think you two'll get along just fine!" A slender, tall skeleton walked out of the shadows in the building's hallway. Susie waved at the approaching figure.

"WOWIE! HELLO! I'M THE GREAT PAPYRUS, WHAT'S YOUR NAME?" He said, running up to the door and holding out his gloved hand. Susie shook it and said,

"Nice to meet you, Papyrus! I'm Susie!" She smiled at the slightly taller skeleton (she's pretty tall, lol!).

"now, paps. stay out of trouble and behave for Susie, okay?" Sans chuckled from behind.

"I WILL, BROTHER!" Papyrus said as he crouched down to hug his older brother.

"i'll leave you two be, now! Have fun!" He smiled, walking out the door and closing it after they all said goodbye.

"So... What do ya wanna do?" The teen asked, looking a the skeleton.

"I'M... NOT SURE, ACTUALLY!" He responded.

"Maybe, show me around?" She suggested.

"OH, YES! FOLLOW ME, SUSIE!" He led her through his home, showing her every room.

"Nice place!" She remarked.

"THANK YOU!" Papyrus replied.

After a while, it was already 4:36.

"Wow! It's already 4:36! Wanna do something?" Susie asked, after they had finished the house tour.

"SURE!" Papyrus replied excitedly.

"What do ya have in mind?"

"MY BROTHER HAS SOME MOVIES! FOR SOME REASON, HE WOULDNT LET ME WATCH THEM..." Papyrus suggested.

"You know where he keeps 'em?"

"IN HIS ROOM, I THINK!"

"Well, let's go, then!" She giggled at is excitement. They went up to Sans' room and found a box full of movies and video games. Susie found a box inside of the larger box that read 'not for papyrus' in comic sans. She looked inside to find some horror movies and a couple of animes. One stood out to her, it was rated E10+ and looked fine for the young skeleton. Still, it was another anime.

"Found one!" She said, raising it above her head.

"WOWIE! WHAT'S IT CALLED?" Papyrus walked up to her.

"It's an anime, called... Hana-chan's force?"

"OH! I HEAR HIM TALKING ABOUT THAT ALL OF THE TIME! HE SAID IT IS GOOD AND HE MIGHT SHOW IT TO ME LATER, BUT I DOUBT HE WILL. HE NEVER DOES!"

"Wanna watch it?"

"Will I Get In Trouble?"

"Nah! Me and Sans are close, and, even if he does catch us watching it, I'll say it was my idea! You won't get in trouble."

"THANK YOU!" With that, they went downstairs, ate some snacks, and watched the anime. They were halfway through when...

"Bet alphys would love this!" Susie whispered under her breath.

"WHO IS ALPHYS?" Papyrus asked.

"She's my teacher." She replied, smiling, "Wonder if she and Sans know eachother?"

"OKAY, COOL!" By the time they finished, it was 6:15.

"SANS SHOULD BE HOME SOON! HE TOLD ME HE'D BE BACK BY 6:30."

"Yeah! Well, did you have fun?"

"YES, ALOT! MAYBE YOU CAN COME BACK AGAIN SOMETIME AND WE CAN GER TO KNOW EACHOTHER BETTER!"

"Sure, that'd be cool!" She smiled at papyrus. At that moment, Sans walked through the door.

"heya, kids!" He announced.

"WELCOME BACK, SANS!" Papyrus walked up and hugged his big brother.

"thanks! what'd you two do while I was gone?"

"Hmm... Watched anime?" Susie smiled.

"really? which one?"

"Something called... Hana-chan's force?"

"oh! i love that one." He whispered and smiled softly.

"IT WAS VERY GOOD! I HAD ALOT OF FUN TODAY!" Papyrus cheered, "CAN SUSIE COME OVER AGAIN SOMETIME?!?! PLEASE?"

"of course! text me when you're free and stuff, kid!" Sans reassured him.

"'Kay! I will! But, I should get going, bye!" Susie walked out the door after everyone said goodbye. Just before she left, Sans put 20 G into Susie's hand.

"thanks for coming." He said.

"No problem!"

Susie walked home, satisfied about the events of that night. Silence came upon the city, not many people were outside.

"That was fun! Can't wait for next time!" She whispered to herself, "Can't wait for tomorrow! Finally, a real family..."

...

The rest of the walk was completely silent, nothing to disturb her content thoughts...
