"There are other options you know.." Janine's voice was heard on the other side of the phone, as Desire rose a brow and appeared confused and concerned- as she soon added.
"...What other options are there?...if he's running away from the law, found himself in this area...and if I dig into all of this ... and bring this up, he'll probably be sent to prison...even if he didn't do it, even if he didn't purposely get drunk that night and end up killing his wife and son, I mean ...come on what evidence is there to support his story? ..and who's going to admit to the fact "hey I wanted to drug this guy to break up their marriage" to a judge? that could get THEM put into prison."
"I'm talking about dropping looking into all of this Desire," Janine remarked.
"..You want...me to stop looking into this all?" She questioned with shock raising up a bit as she added.
" ...T-To stop trying to find the mystery behind Nicholas and his family's tragic event?..just ..let it go?" Desire asked.
"Listen to what you are saying Desire... every time you look into this, the more and more you do this ..the more and more it seems like it's going to end badly for Nicholas... you want this guy to be alright right?..you want him to be able to rest easy, to be a good person and CONTINUE to be a good person right?..seems to me, the only way to do that is to STOP looking into all of this," Janine stated.
"....I don't know if that's THE BEST thing here though Janine, because ...come on ... he wants justice for his family ...he wants to KNOW exactly what happened, and right now he believes his best friend may have drugged him and sent him to drive under the influence and kill his wife and son ... what if that's not the case? what if he was drugged some other way, by someone else?.... I think there is more to this story, more to the whole ..SITUATION then meets the eye, and I just ..."
"You think it may be better for him to learn the truth about the incident that killed his wife and son, even if it means him going to jail?" Janine's voice was heard almost with some shock it seemed.
"Who's to say HE will go to jail? if Richard is the one who drugged him, maybe he feels guilty about what he did? maybe ...he'll..."
"Desire; listen, to yourself... if you were in the same situation, would you do the same thing? would you TURN yourself in? tell the police you were the direct cause of someone's death if it meant to save your friend? NO, you would save your own butt and you know it ...anyone would, we all know what kind of a horrible place jail is." Janine's voice was heard, as Desire lowered her head a bit before she soon added.
"I know, but ... maybe Nicholas would be alright being in jail if it meant learning the truth about his family? about that night that ruined his life ..you kno-"
