"Hey there." Nicole's reply read, as Desire appeared concerned shaking her head- before she wondered how to go about approaching the situation? should she simply come out and tell Nicole that she knew her brother, that she's worried about him, and she wants to hear Nicole's side of things? should she simply lie, tell her some story and become her friend? all this and more was swirling around in her head as she wondered how to respond to Nicole, before shaking her head as she typed the response.
"...So, uh ...I gotta talk to you about something that's gonna be painful."
"...What?" Nicole's response questioned.
".....Remember your brother?" Desire responded back.
"...Nicholas?...yeah, but how do you know my brother?" Nicole's response questioned.
"...." Desire was silent as she appeared to be questioning her next response, how was she going to tell Nicole that her brother was homeless, walking with a limp even, and living at a homeless shelter close by- would she care? would she want to know the EXACT city to get the police to come pick him up? a lot of things she knew could go wrong in the next few moments simply talking to Nicole, as she could feel her heart starting to beat a bit faster, while she closed her eyes a moment taking in a deep breath of air trying to tell herself to remain calm and trust her gut.
"..Okay...so ...here goes." Desire remarked typing out her response.
"...I met him in the city...he's actually got a reputation here."
"Reputation?...that sounds like my brother....what type of reputation?" Nicole's response questioned.
"....He's actually quite sweet you know." Desire typed out.
"...." Nicole didn't respond, with Desire appearing concerned shaking her head; as she added.
"Okay, touched a nerve... uh..try to redirect it a bit.." And with this, she typed out the response.
"....He's ...got the reputation for being ..the homeless Santa.."
"...Homeless what now?" Nicole's response questioned.
"...He's ..homeless... but he does dress up like Santa Claus and help spread cheer among the city...many mom's know him for helping out their children..."
