The Homeless Santa Chapter Twenty-Nine: The Hometown

Desire, Janine, Kit, Nicholas, Nicole, and Richard came into view exiting from the airport carrying some luggage with them, as they entered into a somewhat normal sized looking city; which Desire didn't know why but it kind of shocked her, she was expecting something big and large like New York- not something so simple and small like the city she knew as home.Buildings were visible and did rise pretty high, but most of the buildings in the area were pretty small, and not so many people were seen walking here or there, some of them visible on cellphone's, others talking with a companion they brought with them- as Nicholas appeared to be getting slightly overwhelmed to see everything again, while he hid his face a bit with his hand as well as walking somewhat closer towards Kit, as he added.

"S-Should I be like ..having a disguise or something? I mean these people DO know me."

"Yeah but you look very different since the last time you were here, I'm sure nobody's gonna recognize you." Richard insisted as Nicholas shook his head appearing unsure, adding.

"D-Do I really look that differently?"

"You haven't been here in a couple of years Nicholas, I'm sure it's going to be fine..but if you're still worried, maybe we should take you to get like a haircut or something, get a baseball hat... sunglasses...all things to make it harder for people to recognize you," Janine stated, with Nicholas looking around, as Desire shook her head.

"No, I think he should be safe how he is right now...I know you may not think so, but I'm sure everything is going to be fine." While Kit added as if completely ignoring their conversation.

"Before we get to talking with Noami's family and everything, I think we should find some kind of a hotel to stay in you know? seeing as we're going to be staying here pretty long." And with this Richard shook his head, as he added.

"There's a good hotel just a few blocks away from here, come on." And with this everyone began to follow after him, as Desire looked over, seeing Nicholas appeared to be eyeing quite a few things and people in the city, while she appeared concerned, she knew that Nicholas more than likely didn't like being back in the city he lost his family, she knew it must have been bothering him and she wanted to make him feel better, she wanted to take his mind off of things, but she didn't exactly know how- searching her head for something to speak out and take his mind off of things, she shook her head, as she added.

"So uh...what kind of facts can you tell us about the city Nicholas?"

"Huh?...n-not much, I mean it's a basic city... I was born here, grew up here... spent most of my life here.." Nicholas said with a bit of a shrug, as he soon added.

"I didn't get out much so I didn't see any of the sights the city had to offer, but I don't think it's very much...I mean it's basically a small town.."
