The Homeless Santa Chapter Twenty-Four: Reunion

Richard could feel his heart beating almost a thousand miles a moment, his eyes were wide- as he could see Nicholas slowly approach a bit closer, he wondered what Nicholas would say to him, would he lung for him, attempt to beat him, would he break down and cry, would he accuse him scream at him of some other things he had never done? all the while Nicole shook her head; as she added.

"U-Uh do you want to take a seat?" And with this Nicholas nodded, Desire could see even Nicholas appeared to be getting overwhelmed, shaking a bit with concern, as he tried to recollect himself, clearing his throat; as he added.

"I'm fine standing up, so....i-is i-it okay if we talk now?" And with this everyone was silent a moment exchanging looks, before finally Desire nodded, soon adding.

"Uh, s-sure, sure..yeah..okay.." And with this Richard closed his eyes a moment, lowering his head-- while he added.

"A-Are you sure you want these people here with us as we talk?"

"...Yeah...they are my friends and my family ...unlike what you did, I know they would never do anything to hurt me, to make me feel guilty for something so big ...I know they would do anything to make sure I was alright." Nicholas stated while Richard nodded keeping his head low; as a silence came between the two of them.

"..................." Before finally, Richard overheard Nicholas add.

"...So you went nuts for Noami huh?" And with this Richard slowly opened up his eyes seeing Nicholas standing a few feet in front of him, as he crossed his arms giving him a bit of a look; while Richard sighed, as he shook his head and added.

"I know it's kind of hard to believe, seeing as Noami didn't even remember who I was- but ...I mean the short period of time we talked..we ...went out, she ...she uh ...m-made me feel special you know?...m-made me feel like I was everything to her, and ....growing up if you recall I never really got that ....aside from you and Nicole, and I know that ..I sho-shouldn't have let my hap-happiness be depended on one girl... but after Noami dumped me, i-it just ....it broke my heart...it ..it made me fall apart, an-and then when I saw her with you...I just ...t-the bitterness inside of me grew and grew...I got more and more up-upset...not understanding why she would love you but not me, wh-why were you so different when I was basically your brother growing up we were so close, so similar to e-each other that..."

"...." Nicholas was silent lowering his head a bit, as Desire and Janine exchanged looks; while Elizabeth soon added.
