The Homeless Santa Chapter Eighteen: The Day Off

"A few weeks had passed, Nicole, Kit and I continued to work together in the shelter helping out all the homeless people that would come and sometimes leave the area- Vincent had his good Christmas, and I was happy for that- but at the same time, I was concerned for Nicholas's well being and wondered if he would agree to go to live with Nicole after she got some things together, for the time being she was still choosing to rent motels and hotels, even apartment buildings and she said she didn't think it was enough for her and Nicholas to live together just at the time being... all while she kept getting text messages from Elizabeth...although I never really saw what the texts were, it was another thing that was on my mind ...I guess I was just ..that type of person who wanted to know some things...like ...I think the right term is nosey? hehe" Desire's narration was heard, as the visualization soon began to show that of Kit, Desire and Nicole continuing to work around the shelter, while Desire could see Nicole and Nicholas sometimes talking with each other, laughing and seeming to have fun which brought a smile to her face, before her narration soon added.

"After a while, we decided it was time to take something of a break..leaving the shelter in the care of Nicholas, and having my mom babysit Vincent- me, Nicole and Kit decided to stay at my house and simply sit around and talk; but after a bit, things seemed to go somewhat quiet for us."

"...So can I ask you a question that's been on my mind?" Nicole's voice was heard, as the visualization soon changed to that of Nicole, Kit, and Desire who were all seen sitting down on Desire's couch in her living room, while the three of them were visible holding different cups of drinks it seemed, while Desire looked over and tilted her head.

"Uh, sure...what is it?"

Desire at the time was seen wearing a green coat that was unzipped revealing a pink t-shirt underneath it, and dark blue jeans with black boots; while Kit was visible wearing a brown coat that was unzipped revealing an orange t-shirt underneath it, and grey jeans with white boots- while Nicole was seen wearing a dark blue coat that was unzipped revealing a black t-shirt underneath it, and black jeans along with brown boots; while she was also visible with headphones in her ears just in the event she was texted something via her phone.

"...I mean, it's okay if you don't want to answer...but it's ..."

"It's fine, I'll do my best to answer what is it?" Desire asked, as Nicole shook her head and added.

"...What happened to Vincent's dad?" And with this Kit's eyes widened with some shock as Desire looked towards her with shock, before looking towards Kit- as Kit shook her head and added.
