Leo was parked and waiting for me at the bus stop, he didn’t have a smile on his face but neither did he look serious… in fact he looked a little stunned

“Wow” was all he said as got in the car

“Shut up” I blushed

“You look totally hot, are you sure you don’t want to go to college and strut your stuff”

“Hell no, not lets go”

“Go where”

“Just drive and I’ll give the directions” out of the corner of my eyes I seen a small yet cheeky smirk appear in the corner of his mouth, but he turned the key which started the car, pulled out and we were off.

We made small talk in between giving directions, I even managed to tell him about Matt and Claire, he just made some sort of grunting noise. “What?” I asked him with a glare

“You humans… you’re all the same, fluttering around chasing each other..”

“Hey your no… forget it, bad reference” I laughed at the silly little thought that had formed in my head… it was ridiculous yet.. he  may have been an angel… but in terms of restricting himself… no… he was a little horny devil!

“Laughing to yourself is a sign of madness you know” he mocked

“Well… I could say I’m pretty crazy, considering I’ve snogged an angel”

Moments later I told him to pull in at the next turning, we were at a forest… but this was a place of my childhood, a place where every summer my family and I would come up here and either camp, or just have a picnic… it was a happy place, but to my father it was a reminder,  a scar… much like the ones that caressed my skin.

“This place looks beautiful..” he gawped as we stepped out of the car

“Yup, used to come here every summer” I walked over to the boot and began to unload the tons of crap he packed “Jesus Leo! How much do you need to eat!”

“A lot…just trust me on that”

“Remember that if I ever cook for you… to do triple sized portions”

“Will do!” he shouted, struggling to keep up with where I was heading “Wait up! “ I forgot he was carrying twice the load I was, so I slowed my pace and he eventually caught up

“For someone who looks so strong… your stamina is pretty shitty” he poked his tongue out at me ‘child!’ my head screamed.

A few minutes later we arrived at the spot, it was a flat patch of lush grass which was almost surrounded by a crystal clear river, and there weren’t many people who knew about this place… thank goodness! But  that’s what made it so much more beautiful

“Wow” Leo whispered behind my ear ,startling me “Sorry… how did you know about this place anyway?”

“My mother found it..” he stiffened by I just nudged him “We were all going out camping one year and she wanted the perfect spot… we must have gone around in circles for hours before we actually found it..” I breathed in, taking in the fresh and sweet air “… ever since then we kept coming back here… now my father won’t go near it.. keeps telling me it’s too painful… but it reminds me so much of her… so I feel happy” and truly I was.. this place was the pure essence of her… it was like she left a piece of her here for me.

“That’s beautiful… truly, now where to put all this huh?” I nodded my head to a spot directly in the middle where I could soak in as much as I could before we would have to leave. Leo threw a  red and green checked blanket on the grass before laying the food out, sitting down on the edge of the blanket I noticed a few of my favourites Apple Tart, Doritos, croissants, Crepes, honey glazed pancakes… oh It all looked so good! I realised my mouth was open and looked at him… his bottom lip was quivering before bursting out with laughter
