Once more I landed in the peaceful forest filled with cherry blossoms; it was becoming a regular trip now. I walked forward and once more I witnessed the transition between the seasons on the trees… only this time I did not look back, I knew I should I need him Leo would be there anyway… or at least… I hoped.

Strolling deeper I took note there were no other signs of life… just me and this never ending forest of change, now looking further into the distance I could see what I believed to be… a house, so as curiosity would kill the cat, I strolled toward it maintaining a fast but steady pace. Coming closer I noticed that the roof of the house was glistening with frost and all of the windows were iced over… my mind began showing pictures of the haunted houses that I saw in horror movies and I chuckled as I became the stupid bimbo that walked towards the house anyway… when it’s clearly visible that you should NEVER do that. One light step after another led me closer to the door, treading carefully with my fists clenched should I ever need to take a swing.

The door looked really old… like something that was made in the 1930’s or something, but what intrigued me more than anything was the door handle… it was in the shape of a dog’s head… what handles are ever in that shape? As I reached out to touch it… I stopped… all my nerves were on edge… I shouldn’t be here… but then… I couldn’t move either… I breathed in and out, hoping that I would be able to calm myself.

“My, my, my…” a dark voice sniggered “Aren’t you just precious” I didn’t turn… I couldn’t… my body seemed anchored in place… was it out of fear or?

“Turn to me child”

“I…can’t” I whispered

“Can’t… or won’t” it accused

“Can’t… body… frozen…”

“Ahh… I forgot about that, two secs” Forget? Moments later I noticed that I didn’t feel so on edge anymore, I felt myself actually loosening up “Now… turn to me child” I did just that, thinking I owed… this person some courtesy.

As I turned, what I saw was not what I was expecting… what stood before me was a woman, and a beautiful one at that. She must have been about 5’9, she had long black curly hair that touched her shoulders, and plump lips that I’m sure would drive men wild at the sight of them. She wore a lot of liquid liner around her violet lit eyes…wait… violet? She also wore a long, floor length, tight fit black dress that complimented her figure completely, on her feet she wore simple yet matching black sandals that showed off her nicely painted toes.

“Done staring child?” she smirked

“Sorry” I muttered

“It’s quite all right, I’m used to it” she didn’t sound vain but more annoyed

“Who are you?”

“Oh… I’m sure your kind know me very well and have many names for me… but I would prefer it if you called me Pen”

“Pen?” I repeated

“Yes… Pen” she crossed her arms “Now child, tell me what you are doing here?”

“Truth is…” I stammered “I’m not really sure… my dreams lead me to this place… especially in these past few months… I’m either haunted or bless” she nodded at my statement

“And who is haunting you child?”

“Lucifer at the moment” she laughed at me

“That explains his behaviour at the moment… forgive me… but by any chance are you THE hybrid?”
