I felt very light headed and woozy, thinking it best to not open my eyes for I knew the world would probably spin and id spill my guts

“Open your eyes child” Pen? Was that Pen?

“I think I might throw up If I do… five minutes?” I croaked and rubbed my stomach, she gave a low cackle

“You can open your eyes child… you won’t be sick here” her voice was kind and gentle as usual so gradually I opened my eyes, allowing them to adjust to whatever light there was.  As I looked round I saw that I was inside a house of some sort, it was decorated with the finest furniture’s and the colours were mixture of Red, Gold, Navy Blue and Black. It all seemed a bit gloomy and unloved here.

“Where am I?” I looked at her, she was sat on a red leather sofa which faced the window

“You’re inside my house child” she bluntly stated

“How did I…”

“Do did you get here? Well I called you here… you asked a question that I thought I was fit to answer” Did I ask a question? I sat up and stared at her

“What did I ask?”

“If there was an easier way to hide your wings… well the answer is yes child”

“How?” I asked her

“Every Angel always misses the trick…” she closed her eyes and shook her head before opening them and continuing “You all prepare yourself for this unnecessary and  intense pain by picturing yourself growing them at an incredible rate… so of course it is going to hurt”

“What else are we meant to do?” I crossed my arms

“You could try using the elements around you… you know about the elements don’t you?”

“Leo briefly mentioned that I have the power over earth and fire… is that it?”

“Yes that’s exactly right, now young Leonardo has the power over water and air, making his eyes an icey blue. Now only certain angels have the power to do this, you can call yourself special if you want because my dear… you are… if you were a full angel then your powers would be increased and in heaven you would be honoured. Now I have never met or heard of an angel who has actually used those powers… I think it’s because they are afraid of what the God’s shall do… but it’s all a little silly when the Gods want them to demonstrate their powers…” She made a noise and ran a hand through her hair “Now, should you want harness that power I would love to help you?”

“Yeah, I’d like that”

“But it is crucial you remember and tell Leo”

“I will, I promise” she rose from her seat and walked over to me and held her hand out, I grabbed it feeling how icey cold it was before being pulled up and onto my feet

“Follow me child” With that she walked through the door to her right, leading us deeper into the house. This place didn’t feel like a home to me, it felt more or less deserted and unwanted… like it was meant to be a home for someone else too at some point… “This way” her voice brought me out of my trance and I realised I was heading in the wrong direction, quickly turning I caught up to her “It’s crucial you stay near me child, this house may seem deserted but I assure you… its keeping refuge to many… mainly those who strayed from the path” It took a while to understand what she meant… well I guessed she meant the souls of the damned.

“Where are we going anyway?” I questioned

“To the eternal Garden… it’s the ONLY place where Hades was kind enough to have rich mortal soil… he even asked the hags to put a spell on it so it would never spoil but be rich forever… the hags actually feel sorry for me… HA!”
