Warriors: Eclipsepaw's Hatred (Complete)

Chapter 6

 Eclipsepaw jumped when she heard the voice. She turned around and saw two toms in front of her. One of them was brown with black and darker brown stripes, and the other one was a gray cat with black stripes and silver-gray paws.

 ''W-Who are you, and how do you know m-my name?'' Eclipsepaw asked, scared. 

 The brown tom laughed. ''My name is Bramblehiss, and this gray mouse-brain is Thistlefang.''

 ''Mouse-brain yourself.'' Thistlefang rolled his eyes. 

 Eclipsepaw noticed that the two toms had a dark red thing around their fur, and she realized that she could see the dark trees through their fur. ''T-This isn't StarClan, right?''

 ''StarClan?'' Thistlefang laughed. ''Yes, true, this isn't StarClan. This is the opposite of StarClan.''

 ''The Dark Forest?''

 ''Indeed.'' Bramblehiss nodded. ''Welcome to the Dark Forest!''

 ''Why am I here?'' Eclipsepaw asked. 

 ''We've seen how protective you are over Butterflypaw, and how Violetpaw and Leopardpaw annoy you. Also, we saw how they attacked your friend, while Sweetpaw, Petalpaw and Russetpaw did nothing, but only watched.'' Bramblehiss meowed.

 ''We want to help you.'' Thistlefang purred. 

 Eclipsepaw looked confused. ''How? You two are dead.''

 ''We'll train you.'' Bramblehiss meowed. ''Every night, you'll come here and learn new fighting moves, and then you can actually protect your friend from Violetpaw and Leopardpaw, giving them real wounds to complain about.''

 ''Wouldn't they tell Dreamstar?'' She asked. 

 Thistlefang laughed. ''Dreamstar? That kittypet? She almost believed Violetpaw and Leopardpaw, and she knew how rude they can be. And, if it wasn't for Timbereyes, you and Butterflypaw would probably be exiled.''

 ''Yeah, it would be better if Barkclaw was leader. But anyways, do you accept to let us train you?'' Thistlefang asked.

 Eclipsepaw stared, then nodded. ''Yes, I accept.'' She saw Thistlefang grin, but she didn't mind. 

 ''Good. We'll see you here tomorrow night, then.'' Thistlefang meowed. His dark gray eyes sparkled, and Bramblehiss laughed. 

 ''Soon, you'll teach that five apprentices that you're not the weak apprentice, but they are.''

 ''See you tomorrow night.'' Thistlefang meowed. Then, Eclipsepaw felt someone nudge her and opened her eyes. She was back in the apprentices' den, and Swiftleap was standing close to her.

 ''Dreamstar assigned me as your temporary mentor until Gorsefoot's paw is healed.''  The black tom meowed. 

 Eclipsepaw nodded and got up. ''Are we going to go train?'' She asked, and Swiftleap nodded. 

 ''But before that, there's a meeting. Come on.'' He meowed, and he left the apprentices' den. Eclipsepaw followed and padded over to the meeting.

 ''First, I wanted to say that both Gorsefoot and Butterflypaw have to stay in the medicine cat's den until their wounds are healed. But after they're better, I want to see them recover what they lost. Especially Butterflypaw.'' Dreamstar started.

 ''For those who didn't hear me, Swiftleap is Eclipsepaw's mentor until Gorsefoot gets better.'' She continued. ''Also, I want to proudly announce that we will have a new queen. Flowertail is expecting Swiftleap's kits, so she will move in the nursery.'' She meowed. Eclipsepaw looked over at Flowertail, who was sitting next to her mate, looking proud.
