Warriors: Eclipsepaw's Hatred (Complete)

Chapter 2

 Eclipsekit laid down in her mother's nest. Tulipwing was outside, talking with her father, Barkclaw. Eclipsekit looked around, but she only saw with her right eye. I don't really like being blind in my left eye, despite what I said yesterday. What if someone-

 ''Grawh!'' Butterflykit yowled as she leaped on Eclipsekit from her left side. 

 Eclipsekit was surprised. ''Butterflykit! You know I'm blind in my left eye!''

 ''Well, you should prepare, because maybe in battles many cats will attack you from your left side.'' She murmured.

 ''Oh, what will the blind kit do then?'' Eclipsekit heard a voice. She turned and saw a white she-kit and a silver she-kit. 

 ''Not you again!''

 Leopardkit laughed. ''Oh, what will you do, Eclipsekit, if someone attacks you from your left side? How horrible would it be, for you to die?'' She laughed. 

 Violetkit joined her. ''Yes, I think it would-''

 ''Enough, both of you!'' A tortoiseshell-and-white she-cat appeared in the nursery. Eclipsekit recognized Blossomflower, Violetkit and Leopardkit's mother. ''How dare you say that to Eclipsekit? Who taught you to be rude?'' She growled.

 Violetkit looked at her paws, but Leopardkit stared at her mother. ''Mom, but Eclipsekit is blind in her left eye and Butterflykit is so ugly!" She hissed. 

 Eclipsekit looked at Butterflykit, who was going out of the nursery, silent. 

 Eclipsekit growled, trying not to run towards Leopardkit and attack her, so she turned and ran after Butterflykit. ''Butterflykit, I-''

 ''Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Highrock for a Clan meeting!'' Dreamstar yowled. 

 ''Just ignore Violetkit and Leopardkit.'' Eclipsekit whispered to Butterflykit and ran towards Tulipwing, sitting next to her. Butterflykit silently nodded and padded towards Goldenturtle and Tigerbite, sitting down between her parents.

 ''Today I called you here because Graylake found a kit.'' Dreamstar started, nodding towards the gray she-cat. 

 Graylake nudged an orange she-kit with darker orange stripes forward. The kit's dark green eyes were round with fear.

 ''Graylake told me she found this kit deep in our territory, crying for its mother.'' The leader looked down at the warrior. ''Are you sure this kit isn't part of any other Clan?''

 ''Yes, I'm sure.'' Graylake meowed. ''I've asked her, and she said her mother abandoned her. Clearly a rogue. And she smells like cows.''

 ''Hmm..'' Dreamstar whispered. ''When did you last see your mother, kit?'' She asked. 

 The kit sighed. ''Yesterday. She said she will be back, but she didn't come back.''

 Eclipsekit understood the kit's fear. A moon ago, Eclipsekit was very scared because Tulipwing left camp and didn't come back for a while, but she was just hunting.

 ''This kit will stay in ThunderClan until her mother comes to take her. If not, she will join for real. Is it okay?'' She asked. 

 The kit silently nodded. 

''Do you have a name?'' Graylake asked. 

 The kit shook her head. ''My mother didn't name me.''

 ''Russetkit. Your name will be Russetkit.'' Dreamstar meowed. ''It suits you. Now, if any queen would want to take care of her, please come forward.'' 

''Mom, can you please take care of her? Please, she's really pretty and I'm sure she's nice!'' Eclipsekit heard Violetkit. She turned and saw the white she-kit jumping around her mother. Leopardkit was nowhere to be seen. 

 I guess she stayed in the nursery.

 ''Yeah, please mom!'' Leopardkit appeared from behind her. ''We promise we'll be good sisters!'' They pleaded. 

 Blossomflower sighed. ''Fine.''

 ''Are you sure, Blossomflower?'' Lavenderpurr, Sweetkit and Petalkit's mother, asked. ''Two kits are hard enough, I can't imagine how it would be with three kits to take care of.'' She meowed. 

 Blossomflower nodded. ''If my kits want it, then so be it. Besides, none of the other queens want to.''

 The tortoiseshell and white she-cat got up and padded next to Russetkit. ''I can nurse her. I have plenty of milk.'' She meowed and put her tail around Russetkit. 

 Dreamstar nodded. ''All right then. If someone doesn't want this kit in ThunderClan, you are free to come into my den and tell me why. Meeting dismissed.''

 Eclipsekit wanted to go say hi to Russetkit, but stopped as Violetkit and Leopardkit ran towards her. 

 ''How old are you?'' Violetkit asked. 

 The orange she-kit stared at both kits. ''Uh.. Three moons.'' She whispered. 

 Leopardkit looked surprised. ''Really? We are three moons too! We can become apprentices together!''

 ''Apprentices?'' Russetkit asked. ''What's that?'' 

 Eclipsekit rolled her eyes and padded towards Butterflykit. She didn't want to listen. Surely Violetkit and Leopardkit were going to make Russetkit hate her and Butterflykit.

 ''Russetkit seems really nice.'' Butterflykit murmured. ''Too bad Violetkit and Leopardkit already try to make her join them.'' She sighed. 

 Eclipsekit sat near her friend. ''Not only join Violetkit and Leopardkit, but Sweetkit and Petalkit too.''

 Eclipsekit already noticed Sweetkit and Petalkit going towards Violetkit, Leopardkit and Russetkit. ''Great, the group.'' Eclipsekit hissed.

 Butterflykit sighed, but then stared at Eclipsekit. ''Eclipsekit? Do you promise we'll be friends forever?''

 Eclipsekit looked at Butterflykit, smiling. ''Forever.''
