A light breeze rustled the leaves on the forest's floor. It was silent, and there were no stars. A brown cat and a gray cat were walking around the forest, looking scared and angry.
''Bramblehiss, this isn't good. No apprentice trained with us for more than six moons! What will we do?'' The gray cat meowed.
Bramblehiss rolled his eyes. ''Calm down, Thistlefang, there are plenty of kits in the Clans. We can choose one, for now. We should check every Clan's nursery to see the kits.''
Thistlefang nodded. ''Let's start with ThunderClan, they have plenty of kits.'' He meowed.
Bramblehiss nodded. ''We should visit the kit we choose in a dream when the kit will be around seven moons old.'' Bramblehiss laughed. ''Then, we shall show the kit the Dark Forest, and train it here.''
Thistlefang laughed. ''Good idea.'' Then, the two cats disappeared and entered the ThunderClan camp. Their furs were dark, with something red around them. Their eyes were black and emotionless. Thistlefang had a long scar on his neck, and Bramblehiss had a long scar on his back. The two toms entered the nursery.
''Bleh, newborn kits. And so many of them.'' Bramblehiss rolled his eyes.
Thistlefang ignored him and padded towards a tortoiseshell-and-white she-cat with two kits at her belly. ''What do you think of these kits?'' He asked.
Bramblehiss ran towards him. ''Too small. No.'' He then turned and went towards a cream she-cat with brown spots and looked at the kits. ''Too fragile..''
''Bramblehiss, come here! I found a good kit.'' Thistlefang meowed.
Bramblehiss turned and padded towards a white she-cat with silver spots. A single black-and-white kit was at her belly. Bramblehiss studied the kit. ''Not too small, not too fragile.. the kit seems perfect.''
Thistlefang nodded. ''Good, we shall wait seven moons, and then visit it in a dream.'' He meowed.
Bramblehiss nodded. ''Let's go back now.''
The two toms disappeared, leaving the queens alone with their kits.
