''Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Highrock for a Clan meeting!''

Eclipsepaw rushed over to the meeting and sat next to Tulipwing, her mother. When the patrol reached the camp, Floodfrost told Dreamstar what happened and suggested that she makes her, Violetpaw, Leopardpaw and Butterflypaw warriors. The leader agreed.

''Today, four apprentices are ready to become warriors. Eclipsepaw, Violetpaw and Leopardpaw proved their loyalty by helping chase some rogues off our territory and we can trust them again. Butterflypaw passed her warrior assessment and chased a rogue off our territory all by herself. They are all ready. All four of you, step forward.''

Eclipsepaw stepped forward, along with Violetpaw, Leopardpaw and Butterflypaw. She kept her distance from all three of them.

''Do you all promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?'' Dreamstar asked.

 ''I do.'' Eclipsepaw meowed.

 ''I do.'' Violetpaw nodded.

 ''I do.'' Leopardpaw meowed.

 ''I do.'' Butterflypaw joined in.

''Then, by the powers of StarClan, I will give you your warrior names.'' The leader meowed. ''Eclipsepaw, from this day forward, you will be known as Eclipseshine.''

The black-and-white she-cat nodded and padded back to where she was before Dreamstar called her forward.

''Violetpaw, from this day forward, you will be known as Violetstream.'' Dreamstar meowed.

 Violetstream nodded and backed off.

''Leopardpaw, from this day forward, you will be known as Leopardeye.'' Dreamstar meowed.

The silver she-cat nodded and backed off.

''And Butterflypaw, from this day forward, you will be known as Butterflyspirit.'' Dreamstar ended.

The black-and-ginger she-cat nodded, a little surprised, and backed off.

''Eclipseshine! Violetstream! Leopardeye! Butterflyspirit!'' The Clan chanted.

''Meeting dismissed.'' Dreamstar meowed and jumped down from the Highrock.

Barkclaw and Tulipwing rushed over to her. The black-and-white she-cat turned.

 ''Congratulations, Eclipseshine!'' Barkclaw purred.

''You will be a good warrior.'' Tulipwing meowed. ''We are very proud of you.''

''Thank you.'' Eclipseshine smiled. Her parents purred and padded away. She then turned around and saw Butterflyspirit padding over to her. She rolled her eyes.

''What do you want?'' Eclipseshine hissed.

''I just wanted to say.. you will be a good warrior, Eclipseshine. Dreamstar gave you a nice warrior name, and.. I'm sorry.'' Butterflyspirit sighed.

The black-and-white she-cat rolled her eyes and walked away. Can't she just stop bothering her? She wasn't going to forgive Butterflyspirit!

Then, she remembered she had to sit vigil with Violetstream, Leopardeye and Butterflyspirit. Seriously? At least they couldn't talk with each other.

She flicked an ear as she heard some excited meows. She turned and noticed Owlkit, Ashkit and Yarrowkit rushing out of the nursery. ''I can't wait to become an apprentice!'' Owlkit prured.

''Me too!'' Ashkit smiled. ''We're only some weeks away!'' He continued.

Yarrowkit smiled. ''Yes! Who do you want to be your mentors? I kind of want Eclipseshine to be my mentor, she's now a warrior!''

Eclipseshine huffed. I don't think you'd want me as your mentor if you knew what I did, Yarrowkit.

 ''Butterflyspirit, maybe?'' Ashkit meowed.

Owlkit flicked his tail. ''Well, I want an older warrior. Maybe Tulipwing!''

The newly appointed warrior flicked her ears. I was pretty sure neither of them wanted Violetstream or Leopardeye as their mentors. But what about Russetmoon, Sweetpurr and Petalflight?

Wait, no, they're horrible as well. Eclipseshine remembered the day when Butterflyspirit got attacked. Russetmoon, Sweetpurr and Petalflight were there, but they just watched, shocked. Then, she shook her head. Why do I keep thinking of Butterflyspirit? She's not my friend anymore!

She padded over to the fresh-kill pile and took a squirrel. She sat down next to the warriors' den and ate the squirrel. However, she kind of missed talking to the black-and-ginger she-cat. They were good friends. It's not my fault she called me a monster.

Eclipseshine finished the squirrel and yawned. She rested her head on her paws and closed her eyes. I'll just sleep. I won't sleep tonight, so I have to rest. The she-cat fell asleep.

When Eclipseshine woke up, it was already dusk. Most of the cats went to sleep, but some of them were still in camp. The black-and-white warrior got up and looked around. Since it was darker now, and she was blind in her left eye, she could hardly see. Well, great.

She sniffed the air and padded out of camp. When she reached the exit of the thorn barrier, a thorn hit her ears.

''Owch!'' Eclipseshine hissed. She then remembered how both of her ears were shredded now, thanks to the Dark Forest training. What a great way to start your vigil. She rolled her eyes.

Then she noticed Butterflyspirit, Violetstream and Leopardeye sitting close to the entrance to the camp. Eclipseshine padded over to them and sat close and still as she looked around, making sure no cat that wasn't from ThunderClan wanted to sneak in the camp.

Well, I'm a warrior now, so I must act more responsible. She flicked her tail. I just have to make sure someone from our Clan gets killed.. by me.
