Eclipseshine sat by the warriors' den, yawning. She just woke up, and she was still satisfied that she stopped training in the Dark Forest.
''She woke up?!'' Someone meowed. Eclipseshine quickly got up and saw Goldenturtle and Tigerbite looking at Turtlenight, desperate.
The medicine cat nodded. ''Yes, Butterflyspirit did wake up.'' She meowed.
Goldenturtle quickly sprinted in the medicine cat's den, followed by Tigerbite. Eclipseshine got up and rushed over, but Russetmoon, Sweetpurr and Petalflight were faster than her.
Turtlenight flicked her tail. ''Butterflyspirit might still be shocked by what happened, so I can't let all of you visit her at once. First, her parents. Then, Russetmoon, Sweetpurr and Petalflight, and then you, Eclipseshine.'' She meowed.
Eclipseshine sighed, but nodded. I'm pretty sure Butterflyspirit doesn't want to see me, anyway.. She knows that I attacked her.
Tigerbite and Goldenturtle left the medicine cat's den, clearly happy, and Russetmoon, Sweetpurr and Petalflight padded in. Eclipseshine still waited, thinking what she could say to her former friend.
When the three she-cats left the medicine cat's den, it was Eclipseshine's turn. She felt really anxious, but she took a deep breath and padded in the den.
Butterflyspirit sat in her nest, sighing. Then, when she saw Eclipseshine, she looked really shocked.
''What are you doing here?'' Butterflyspirit whispered, surprised.
Eclipseshine froze, but then sighed. ''I'm very sorry.. for everything. I know this is stupid and too early, but I think you know that I am the one who attacked you.. I'm sorry for everything. I should've let you explain.'' She whispered and nuzzled Butterflyspirit.
The black-and-ginger tabby she-cat looked surprised, but then she purred. Eclipseshine backed off a little.
''Even if you won't forgive me, I stopped training in the Dark Forest. I'm sorry, I should've never trained there, we could've figured out a way to stop Leopardeye and Violetstream from bullying you, and a way that didn't include fighting. And I'm really sorry, I.. I should've listened to you.'' She sighed.
Butterflyspirit took a deep breath. ''I can see that you're sorry. And I forgive you.'' She smiled.
Eclipseshine froze and looked at her. ''W-Wait, you forgive me? After.. I attacked you and hurt your feelings?''
''I deserved that anyway.'' Butterflyspirit purred, then looked away. ''I called you a monster, because I was..''
''Shocked?'' Eclipseshine asked.
Butterflyspirit nodded.
''I understand now, and I'm really sorry. I know you don't want to be friends with me again, and-''
''Hold on, who said that?'' Butterflyspirit let out a short laugh. ''I know you didn't want to attack me, but Turtlenight. I heard what you said before you attacked me. And I didn't turn faster because I actually wanted you to attack me. I deserved that.''
Eclipseshine stared at her, surprised. ''Why? Of all the cats, I deserve to be the one attacked.'' She sighed, but Butterflyspirit shook her head.
''No, I do. I called you a monster before thinking. And I hoped that you would right your wrongs.''
''So you forgive me?'' Eclipseshine asked, hopeful.
''I forgive you, best friend.'' Butterflyspirit purred.
