Eclipseshine rolled her eyes and turned around. A white she-cat with cream spots hurried towards her, followed by a black-and-cream tom and a gray tom with black stripes.
''You! Watersong and Lakesong told me that you were at the border yesterday!'' The white she-cat spat, unsheathing her claws. ''Now you dare trespass in our territory?!"
''Calm down, Lightpath!'' The black-and-cream tom padded next to her. ''I'm pretty sure she has a reason for coming here.'' As soon as he said that, he stared at Eclipseshine.
I sure don't.
''Calm down? How can I calm down, Wolfhowl?'' The RiverClan she-cat hissed. ''First, this ThunderClan cat comes very close to our territory, and then she comes in our territory? Who does she think she is?''
''Calm down, both of you!'' The gray tom hissed and looked at Eclipseshine. ''So, why are you here?''
''Why should I tell you?'' The ThunderClan she-cat lashed her tail. ''Yesterday, I wasn't doing any harm, I just came to drink water.'' She hissed. ''I wanted to drink water again.''
''So you came into our territory to steal our water or something?'' The gray warrior raised an eyebrow.
''It's obvious she wanted to steal prey!'' Lightpath hissed. ''Jaycave, stop acting so nice around her and bring Molestar!''
Oh StarClan, no! ''W-Wait, uh, I can tell you why I'm here. Err, I wanted to see how you RiverClan cats see our land. I know, it's stupid, but there's no need to bring your leader!'' She meowed. She didn't really want to say the truth, but she didn't want any trouble.
''Really?'' Wolfhowl laughed. ''That's stupid! And you call yourself an apprentice of ThunderClan?''
''Warrior. I'm a warrior.'' Eclipseshine spat as the RiverClan tom continued to laugh.
''Warrior? Well, ThunderClan surely has to teach their cats better.'' He huffed.
These cats are definitely senior warriors. Eclipseshine rolled her eyes. ''So, can I go now?'' She asked.
''Should we even let her go?'' Lightpath asked.
The black-and-white she-cat hissed. Of course you should! It's not like I want to join your Clan, you stupid fish-eater!
''Well, she didn't steal any prey, so I guess we should let her go.'' Jaycave narrowed his dark blue eyes and turned, staring at Eclipseshine. ''We'll let you go now, but if we see you again on our territory, or very close to the border, we won't hesitate to attack.''
''Good. I won't come back, I'll stay away from your stupid border.'' Eclipseshine hissed and turned, jumping on the nearest rock, and then on the other one. Why are these RiverClan cats so mouse-brained?! I just wanted to see how they see the ThunderClan land, that's all.
She felt the RiverClan cats watching her like crazy, but she didn't mind. As soon as she got back in her territory, she looked at the RiverClan warriors, hissed, and then rushed back to camp.
I should hunt, I guess. She stopped when she was deep in the ThunderClan territory, and sniffed the air, looking for prey. I'll try not to go back to the Sunningrocks.
Eclipseshine padded in the camp, carrying a squirrel in her jaw, and two birds on her back. She carefully placed them in the fresh-kill pile.
''Here you are!'' She heard a purr and turned. Barkclaw and Tulipwing, her parents, stood right in front of her, looking worried.
''Where have you been? We were worried!'' Tulipwing nuzzled Eclipseshine.
