it was the middle of class when luke had a note from the teacher to meet with him after class. what did i do this time? he thought. he sighed and ran his hand through his blonde locks, returning back to his classwork.

he was very intelligent, his knowledge higher than the average student. he'd always be picked to help other student with their work, or to grade papers.

the school bell propelled students out the door, leaving luke to walk by himself up to the front where ms. adams, his english teacher, sat. she looked up and smiled at him, taking off her reading glasses.

ms. adams was middle aged, she had brown hair that started to fade into a lighter color. she was the sweetest teacher, and never intended to shout or lift a finger on any of her students. the main reason luke said she was her favorite teacher was because a. he likes english and b. she didn't call him lucas.

"um, you needed me ms. adams?" he softly spoke, playing with his fingers in his pocket. she nodded before taking out a post it note and her pen. "from your grades, i see you've excelled through the average percentile of this class more than anyone, and i'm impressed, luke."

luke still didn't get what she was saying. all he wanted to do was go home and drink chocolate milk on his soft bed and text calum. "and other teachers are astounded by what you've done. they want you to help their students, too. so i am offering an extra curricular opportunity for you, luke." she paused and took a deep breath.

"would you like to tutor a senior in high school in english?" luke was stunned for a moment. "w-well um... i guess i could." he answered.

"great!" she smiled. "i was hoping you'd say yes, because the first session is today, sorry for the late notice. please meet him at the library at the old high school you went to, he goes there."

luke nodded before taking the instructions and leaving the class room.

luke drove up to the school's parking lot and rushed out of the car to go to the library. all the students looked at him weird, since he looked a bit old to be at high school.

he walked inside the library, since the entrance was right outside the school, and looked on his instructions. he was told to sit and wait for his student at the table near the back, so he did.

it was now 5 minutes and luke was playing 2048 on his phone, trying to get past the 512 tile. beads of sweat formed on his forehead from concentration as his fingers swiped on the small screen. his jittery leg moved up and down, trying to be comfortable.

he heard footsteps and he instantly looked up, swiping his phone into his pocket. his eyes widened at the student as he shyly sat down and set his stuff next to him. "h-hi, you're my tutor?" the boy asked.

luke smiled and answered, "yes." luke knew exactly who he was, and the student knew who his tutor was. the student blushed and took out his english notebook as luke smirked cheekily at him.

"okay, let's start with the essay you need to write." luke spoke up. the boy shakily wrote down his header before looking at luke for instructions.
