"we've been here for almost 2 hours, and i haven't started my essay. it's actually due in may before the year ends, but she gave it to us now so we can have a better glimpse of things right now."luke nodded and grabbed the notebook from the table and opened it to a fresh new page, grabbing a pencil and writing down something calum couldn't see.
he handed to calum after a while and showed it to him, biting his lip hesitantly.
calum and luke's ideas:
- to be discovered.
calum smiled at luke once he looked up, his heart melting at the blue eyes he stared at. luke stared back and cheekily grinned, his dimple popping out.
//
soon luke had to leave and calum was still in the fort they had made, reading the book eleanor & park.
right when he was about to turn to page 176 the blanket that was held above him completely fell flat in front of his face, making him laugh at his stupidity.
he shoved the blanket away and closed the book, lying in the middle of his living room floor- the coffee table moved aside- with his hand behind his head, staring at the ceiling above him as if it were the starry night sky.
he thought about luke, about his eyes, about his face, about his voice, about his body, about him, about how he was so reluctant at times, about how everything about him was so compelling.
but did calum really love luke?
he didn't know. calum was completely smitten with him, he doesn't know if he could describe it as love.
sure, he was just his tutor, but he really liked luke. luke wasn't just one of those, oh, i'm tutoring you for service hours kinds of tutors, it was like he was so permissive to him.
calum has a strong feeling towards luke, he just couldn't describe his feelings for luke. not any amount of words was possible to exactly label his feelings for him. it wasn't like that, especially not to calum.
whenever luke looked at him, his knees went weak and his whole body tingled, as if he was his kryptonite weakening him with a substance. luke was just perfect enough to make calum, fall for him, literally.
but calum would never, ever, label his love, if he had one for luke, because love isn't just a label. it is more than that to him. you can't just label love into an everyday expression, no, you just can't.
because loving luke would be more of just labeling it. it's a feeling, an emotion, it's not an exaggeration of things. it's love. it's the thing that calum is afraid to admit.
