He suddenly pulled his black tee-shirt that had been lying on his shoulders uselessly till now, slipped his head through its neck, and pulled it down his torso, then starting to wear a black pant while I avoided my gaze and focused on what would we be watching next. I kept switching channels till I found one called Nickelodeon which was showing the old episodes of Victorious.
It was currently showing the 'Cowboy kiss' episode where Cat refused to be her best friend's date but was jealous when he brought some other girl to the date. I used to love Ariana Grande in this show, although she was a total nut job but who can blame her, really?
The channel changed out of no where. "Hey!" I threw a pillow at Austin who was now handling the remote.
"What?" He shrugged.
"I was about to watch my childhood favorite show." I pouted and he bit his lower lip.
"Come on, this was a stupid show and you know it. Look at those lame jokes." He said, grinning now.
"Its a comedy show, come on!" I huffed and crossed my arms across my chest.
"Upset?" He said in a teasing tone, bringing slowly a smile on my face. "Take it." He offers me the remote, and when I try to reach for it, he snatches it away, his face splitting into a huge smug smile. "You'll have to take it from my hands." He said, moving the remote in the air.
"This is so unfair! I am short!" I whined, reaching to grab it one more time, but he hid his hands behind his back. I looked up at him, practically hugging him. "Give me the remote." I glared at him, even though I wanted to kiss the cute off of his face.
"No." He chuckled, clearly enjoying.
My heart was plummeting loudly against my ribs as I stared at him smiling. He wanted to play? I will play. Just so this doesn't leave his face.
I reached behind his back but he fell down on his back and my arm, on the bed. "Ow." I mewled and he laughed. He brought his hands in front of him and held the remote on top of my head. I glared at him, and he laughed, challenging me to take it. When I tried to raise my hand, he rolled over and pinned me down the bed, holding down both of my hands. "Ah!" I cried, and he loosened his grip a little.
"Oh, come on." I whined and he laughed again, closing his eyes and his dimples popped out. I tried to shove him off of me but he was too heavy for me to move. "You're heavy like a....giant." I pouted, and he poked my cheeks with his pinky, that made it hard to keep a straight face.
"I can't help curmudgeon. You are too tiny for me." He stretched a little, pinning me further into the bed. I took the opportunity, putting all my weight against him and rolled over and snatched the remote from his hand. A look of shock crossed over both of our faces, and I ran over the bed, jumping clumsily to the ground.
"Hmm...Smart move, baby. But you know I'm going to take it back from you in less than 10 seconds, right?" He grinned, his intimidating eyes never leaving mine.
"Well, you better not waste your time, then. Come and get it." I bit my lip, resting a hand on my hips and the other shaking the remote in front of him.
He smirked and took large strides, standing in front of me in a flash. He grabbed my hand before I could hide the remote, pinning me to the wall. I could feel the heat from his body that was transforming to mine, because of the small distance between us. He leaned closer to me and looked down at my lips. My heart started pounding louder inside my chest, my body seemed like it was under a spell.
My skin was burning and everything inside me tightened into a turmoil. He brought his face even closer to mine, his breath fanning my lips, bringing my hormones to a crazy situation. The remote fell from my hand as he placed both of his hands on my waist. I gasped lightly when I saw his beautiful heart shaped lips parting as he blew a quiet breath that hit my lips.
I could see the determination in his eyes, and I gave him a small nod, permitting him to do what he was intending to do. It felt right. This was the first time I wanted someone to kiss me. He took a deep breath and the moment he was about to close the distance, the doorbell brought us both out of the spell.
Both of us jumped away from each other, my cheeks burning red with embarrassment. I looked around nervously while he ran a hand through his wet hair, a small grimace appearing on his face. I looked at him shyly and he took a deep breath before turning around and walking to open the door.
I couldn't help the wave of a mix of disappointment and frustration that washed over through me, when he walked away from me. Austin went straight and opened the door a little too loudly than necessary and a guy appeared on the doorway again.
"Yes?" He said.
"Sorry to break in like this, sir. But a girl is missing and-" The guy said, his voice weirdly familiar to me. I craned my neck to see who it was but the door wasn't wide open enough to help me see.
"I don't know about any girl. Get out." Austin said harshly.
I opened the door quietly. The guy was dressed in a collared shirt and black slacks. He had a ring in one ear. "Sir, give me two minutes. I think you might have an idea about the girl. Her eyes are green and-"
My eyes widened in panic. He smirked at me when I exposed myself. "Hello Martha." I was gaping at him, my mouth hanging open.
There in the doorway stood Augury.
