The video that had the audio was sent to everyone.
"Its probably edited." said Spencer and I had made a face.
I saw the newer complete version of it and the version that Samuel had sent us all. No blurs, no cuts; the video was complete and unedited for sure.
I never really liked politics and never imagined I'd be so involved and bothered in one up until Robbie showed up. Robbie wasn't like others. He was different. Polite, helpful, approachable and everything an idealistic politician should be; something the public wants in a politician.
While other candidates participating in the elections for the student union talked about why people should vote for them and not others, Robbie would talk about education systems, his own experiences in this college- interacted and got to know others; we got to know him. When others roamed around in the packs of fives and sixes to advertise their capabilities as a good politician, Robbie would roam alone for he said, "If I ever get selected for the Student's Union, it wouldn't be the others who'd be standing beside me. It would just be me and the Dean talking about the good of you all. Friends might help you reach your destination but in the end its just you."
Another theory that Robbie talked about was interacting and engaging with people, which Margo lacked a lot. For a record, I did too but she goes over the board about 'staying-alone-is-being-at-peace.' The first day Margo and Spencer met, I noticed only Spencer and I talking while Margo was always on phone, scrolling through social media. When Spencer left to chat a little with Ashton, Margo was still on phone. Scrolling, scrolling and scrolling. I never told her but she bored me to the point that I was deliberate to take out my own phone too and read a book online.
Things were different in my case. I too found conversing difficult because I was not used to people talking to me or I to them. I was an overly shy person but less of an introvert. Margo and others in my batch deliberately made a choice to stay aloof. "You don't know how much you can learn from each other by just talking for a few minutes. Phone won't save you every time. What would you do when your battery runs out? Sit and knit?" He had said and I remember trying not to give Margo a look.
"Robbie is the kind of person that makes one feel relaxed just by staying around." I told Paige. I obviously couldn't vent all gossip to Lila or Chloe because if I do, they'll overreact about every little thing. In that case, who better than Paige.
"Girl, are you in love?" She squealed at the end of the sentence.
"What?"
"You have been rambling about someone called Robbie for three hours now. When people talk about someone with so much admiration for so long, its said that it means they are in love. So you're in love, huh?"
"Gee, Paige! Where have you been reading slash hearing such shitty quotes. It doesn't make sense at all." I rolled my eyes at her even though she couldn't see me through the phone.
"It totally does."
"Well, it doesn't apply to me. I don't love him. There is a difference between admiring someone because of their qualities and admiring them because you love them."
"Ooh....and what about Austin? You too have a lot going on, huh? Did he return your hairband?"
I smiled at the mention of his name. "Not yet, he didn't and....nothing about him."
"Oh come on." she said and I giggled. "Fine. I really hope you fall in love, though."
"Nobody falls in love with The Goddess Of Death." I parroted Chloe's thoughts.
"But I love you, Martha."
"That's because you're scared of me." I wanted to say but I didn't.
