Gwangju / Present
They both reached the town. It was a ten minutes walk from the bus stop to his house. He gave a quick call to his mother and said that he had reached the place.
"Yes I'll be there in 10 minutes" before he even finished his sentence, his mother hung up the phone. Embarrased, he walked with his hyung who kept teasing him about it.
The sound of his laughter was something rare to be heard. He finally felt relaxed and comfortable. Walking by the streets of his home town, as the sound of the pebbles clicked with each other was soothing for the both of them.
The memories came before Jimin's eyes. Wish I had understood things that happened around me better, He thought to himself. His bleeding heart slowly got a grip and started to mend the pain.
Soon they reached Jimin's house. The old broken unrepaired car was still in the same place as it was, when he had left the house. His father left him with a lot of good and relish memories.
Whenever he was sad he'd think about him and cry because that was the only thing he was left with. Memories, He happily owned them and utterly cherished them. It never mattered if it was a sad one or a happy one.
They walked up to the enterance. Guests? Whose slippers are these of? He was nervous. Jin gave a mild press on the door bell. No one appeared.
They waited for some time and knocked on the door. The door moved slightly and that's when they realised that it was open. "Aish It was open! But why is this open?" They walked inside the house slowly.
They both had a mini heart attack because of the screams that said "Happy Birthday Jimin!" It was his mother, Hoseok and Piper on the other side of the hall.
Its my birthday?! Oh my lord yes! Wait that means.. His thoughts soon were heard out loud.
"Why would you guys do this?" Jimin asked. His mother questioned him "Jimin-ah you don't like it? I'm sorry.. I was never the mother you deserved to have. You always deserved better." She spoke with a weak heart that showed her sorrow explicitly.
He replied "No eomma it's not that."
"What's wrong Jimin? If you're talking about yesterday, we're already over it and It's alright" Hoseok replied. Though what he said was awkward, it lowered the pressure in the room for the time being."I know you guys would be over it and so am I. I'm done with those once and for all." Jimin replied to Hoseok with a pokerface.
" It's important for one to realise and change themselves at times and so, yes i'm proud of you Jimin..! But then what is wrong?" Piper asked.
"How could everyone forget this? Haha" Jimin chuckled mockingly, his right eyebrow rised up.
"She was the only who could've helped me.. but how could've she, when she was the first one to forget me? And now everyone has forgotten her as well." He yelled and weeped to them.
Dramatic, one would say, but he spoke his heart out. They were incredibly shook and unable to understand anything at all.
She? Help you? Who are you talking about?
Everyone were thinking the same thing.
Jimin looked directly face to face, eye to eye towards Piper and asked her with a shaky voice
"How did you forget m-me?".
