26. I Love You

"What do you mean forget? What the hell are you talking about Jimin? I do know who you are!"

Piper was at a state, unable to process a thing that had just happened. "Oh do you really?" He asked Piper with a furrowed eyebrow, his devil side was seen. He was angry at everything but deep down his heart, he knew that he was angry at himself the most.

Guts, maybe a very small word, but it required a lot of strength for him when he applied it. After almost 4 years of time, he had them guts now.

"Piper"

He swallowed the moist air and gulped,

"Happy Birthday to you too and I love you so much. I wish I had never left you. I never meant to, but I was made to do so. An apology cannot and never fix this" said Jimin to the gray eyed girl with the caramel coloured highlights. Crying would be an underact thing to do, but as that was the last right he was left with, that's what he ended up doing.

He grabbed her soft pale hands, covered with sweat and held it close to his cheeks. Warm tear drops that rolled down his cheek touched her hands. His knees dropped down to the cold flat-floor.

The air suddenly inside his lungs escaped all at once and struggled to come back in. Unable to exhale or inhale. That's when he figured out that he was choking on air that was practically nothing but everything.

The poor innocent girl who had become senile, was no one other than Piper. The supple soul, who accompanied Jimin on his way to this world filled of enigma was Piper, his twin sister.

She didn't believe it at first, neither did Mrs. Mi-ok. Though Jimin's emotions were raw and from the heart, one can't just believe someone saying that they belong to the same blood as yours. That's why Jimin handed over the polaroid picture of their family, a picture taken by Jin. Mrs. Mi-ok and Piper, they both looked at the picture.

Piper sobbed harder than ever as well. Because no matter how hard she tried to recall the past, nothing came into her mind. Her mind was as bland as a sugarless coffee.

But the past didn't mean anything anymore. Some forgot the past, while some kept the past so close to their souls, as if those gave life to them. He might have not had her all through his life, but the moment he did, nothing mattered anymore. The sad phase of him perished away. All that mattered right now was her existence, their existence.

Love became the reason for his salvation and ultimately became his cure. He found home. Home was indeed his home.

His mother felt immensely miserable as well, as she had forgot her another child, Piper. Though the feeling between Piper and her mother was mutual,

It is an unacceptable thing for a mother to do. Forgetting their own child is unforgivable.

That's what Mrs. Mi-ok accurately thought and felt.

At the sight of Jimin and Piper sobbing together, Hoseok's eyes also watered. Tears didn't drop down his eye because that Piper and Jimin loved each other so much, but because of the fact that Hoseok loved them just as much. He was indeed happy to belong in a step above than friends, family.

All along Jin, who was standing still by the entrance of the house, leaning against the cold smooth wall, smiled proudly at Jimin as he wiped off his happy tear. For Jimin, it was a whole new journey yet to start.

Heyy!! Armyy!! Not sure if the story was nice, but this was my first story and to be honest i'm really proud of myself that I didn't just leave it mid-story and took it till the ending.. I tried my best on writing this.. I've spent more than 48 hours on just writing these stories (believe it or not) and If you read the story from the start to the end, I'm extremely grateful to you!! You guys are out of this world and I love you so damn muchh!!
