Ren was done letting his guilt eat him up inside. He knew the supreme leader would disapprove, but he didn't have to know. He walked down the long hallway with purpose. He rehearsed what he would say in his head. Kylo Ren, for the first time in his life, was going to apologize sincerely.

He just couldn't live with himself. He kept imagining the way Celeste had looked at him. So frightened. At one point, he may have enjoyed being feared in that way, but there was something about her that made him crave her approval, even when he was her superior.

Kylo got to her room and took a deep breath, standing beside the wall opposite her door. He gave himself an internal pep talk and was just about ready to go in and blurt out his little speech when General Hux walked through and knocked on her door. Ren immediately felt uneasy with his presence.

"Yes? Oh...General," Celeste said, her slight fear apparent on her face and her actions as she took a step back.

"Hello. I just came to ask if you'd be interested in joining me for dinner again. In my quarters, this time..." He raised an eyebrow suggestively.

"O-oh, I'd be honored..." Kylo saw red. "But I'm sorry, I'm really tired from training today, and I haven't been sleeping well. Maybe some other time..." She started to close the door. Hux stuck his foot in the crack.

"Hux. You heard her," Kylo spoke up from the hallway. Both of the others looked surprised. Hux looked annoyed as he removed his foot and walked away. Celeste breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thank the stars. I was starting to think I'd have to stab him," She laughed slightly, then looked up, apprehensive. "So, uh, what can I do for you, Master Ren?"

Ren's mind suddenly went completely blank. Why was he so flustered?

"You said you were tired. I came to alert you that tomorrow, training will be two hours later, but will end at the same time as usual. So perhaps you can get some rest," He said on the spot.

"Oh!" It was strange to hear Kylo suddenly being considerate, especially since he had literally almost killed her a few hours ago. The painful memory resurfacing, she absent-mindedly massaged her neck. She felt Ren's flash of guilt.

"Well thanks! I'll see you tomorrow," She smiled weakly.

"Yes. And Celeste...?"

"Yeah?"

"I-I'm sorry," He mumbled as he turned and walked away.

"Whhhhaaattt...?" Vega asked under her breath. Did he just apologize? Seriously?!
