Celeste was sick of doing nothing at training. She wanted to start on the actually interesting part of the force, reading minds, and controlling people. She was scared to bring it up with Kylo, in case he decided to actually kill her this time...So she had no motivation on a certain day, maybe a month into training. She was being reckless, not dodging, or aiming well. She could tell her actions were irritating Kylo.

"Why aren't you blocking my attacks? Are you hurt?" He asked, taking a step back and crossing his arms.

"I'm just not feeling it today," She said, mirroring his actions.

"That's unfortunate. But we're training. You need to work for it. You're not always going to be "feeling it", but you need to be pushing yourself anyways," He lectured. She rolled her eyes.

"I've been training almost non-stop for a month now. You can't let me be done early just once?" She asked, arching an eyebrow.

"No. I trained far more than you, with a much more...unforgiving... teacher. This is nothing. Hold us your saber," Ren commanded, adjusting his stance and preparing to jab at her with his own lightsaber. Celeste groaned and lazily held hers up, with poor form. His anger was evident, but she was too done with everything to care.

"Why aren't you fighting back?" He asked, clenching his fists. She remained silent, then, while his guard was down, swiped her saber dangerously close to his face. Only his reflexes prevented him from receiving a blow to the head. His rage flared and he instinctively lashed out, holding her in place and swiping with his saber as well.

Ren caught himself about halfway through his swing, realized what he was about to do. He was about to hit her straight through her chest, but his moment of clarity threw him off balance, and he struck her arm instead. She cried out and fell to the floor, a deep laceration in her lower arm, just under her elbow. He could feel her losing consciousness and cursed loudly as she fell limp.

He cast his weapon to the side in a split second and knelt beside her. He knew how much the pain of a saber overtook one's senses and figured she'd pass out. It was stressful nonetheless. He pulled her gently over his legs, making her head rest on his left shoulder and he placed his right hand over her wound.

Ren took a deep breath and closed his eyes, focusing all of his energy on her, her breathing, and her heartbeat.
