Celeste woke from her medically-induced sleep earlier than the droids had expected. She was still stable, and able to speak and walk around, with minimal head pain, but they still wanted her to be under their close care for another week, head injuries are serious, they told her. Then she was supposed to remain on bed rest for two whole months after.

It was a bit past sunrise, all the droids had left her alone, and she was just staring out the window. She forgot how nice it was to be on land again. She heard a soft knock on her door.

"Hmm?" She asked, turning her head slowly, it still ached when she moved it quickly. The door slid open and Ben stepped in. The heavy bags under his eyes indicated that he hadn't slept, and he was fidgeting with his hands anxiously.

"H-how do you feel?" She hadn't noticed before, but his eyes were slightly red.

"Oh, just come here!" She smiled and stood up, cautiously hugging him. He hesitated for a moment, before wrapping his arms around her and lifting her slightly. He held her close to his chest and twirled a few strands of her hair. After a few, pleasant moments, he let go and pulled away, clearing his throat, blinking rapidly.

"So you're sure you're going to be alright?" He asked, resting his hands on her shoulders and surveying her up and down for any more visible injuries, before sitting on the bed next to her.

"Yeah. I'll be in here for another week, and on bed rest for another two months, though," She groaned.

"Two months? Good, that's good," He muttered to himself.

"What? It's not good, two months is like forever!" She sighed, "I'm gonna be so bored. At least I'll have you to entertain me though," She smiled.

"Y-yeah," He looked away. She assumed he was just still shaking off the anxious feelings from her being injured.

"I'm going to go make sure we didn't leave anything on the ship, okay? Send someone out for me if you need me," Ben said softly. Celeste absentmindedly held his face in her hands and ran her finger down his scar. His eyes closed and he seemed to lean into her touch slightly, relaxing, even.

"Alright. Be careful, don't tell anyone who you are yet, we'll deal with that together later," She instructed as he pulled away. He nodded.

"Farewell," He said softly, gazing into her eyes wistfully. She giggled.

"Who still says 'farewell?' I'll see you soon!" She smiled and waved as he left, closing the door gently behind him.

As soon as the door shut, he took off running, hoping they hadn't done anything to the ship. He skidded to a halt in front of it, relieved as he saw it untouched. He climbed in and his helmet was still in the dark corner, untouched. He powered up, and just as he was about to pull away when he saw a familiar face in the crowd. She felt his presence at the same time and looked up. His gaze darted away as the General smiled softly as he pulled up and away.

"Hey, Poe?" Celeste called, after three days of not seeing Ben.

"Yeah?" He asked.

"Have you seen the guy that I came here with anywhere? I haven't seen him since the second day we were here," She explained. Poe looked uncomfortable.

"You didn't hear?"

"Hear what?" She raised an eyebrow.

"Well, as soon as he knew you were safe, he got in the ship you came in and took off. We didn't even have a tracker on it yet, I don't think. We don't know where he went, and he didn't take any supplies or anything with him," Her face fell.

"He didn't talk to anyone about it?" She asked, panic setting in.

"Not that I'm aware of. He's not a chatty guy," She started hyperventilating.

"H-how are we supposed to find him now? Where could he have gone, we have to go, I have to get him," She rambled, her vision blurring.

"Hey, hey, Elle, come on," Poe said, "It's alright, he'll be fine, I'm sure. I don't think we should try to find him, he seemed pretty sure he wanted to get away from us," He smiled slightly.

"N-no, he said-" She shivered.

"Hey, come on now, don't be like that. It's not like he's your boyfriend or anything, he was probably some passing ship owner that wanted to be sure you were safe,"

"N-no, Poe, I need to see him,"

"You don't need him, Elle, you have me," He grinned.

"You don't understand, I have to speak to the general," She stood up frantically.

"Don't be like that, come on, you're supposed to be resting," He grabbed her arm and led her back to her bed. She struggled against his grip, and a few droids filed in, seeing the commotion. One of them pinned her arm down and injected her with something. Almost immediately, her vision blacked out and she fell unconscious.
