8) School life begins

"Are you gonna tell him? Or will you wait?" Faolán asks Conall. The twins are walking far behind Thierry and Roselyn because they wanted to have a private talk.

"I don't know... I don't think during the breakfast. Maybe if we will do something else today? I don't want to pretend anymore." Conall says. He has overthinking this moment for a whole year long, the confrontation. He is still scared of rejection, but he can't keep hiding it.

"That's really good of you Conall. If you go looking for Kat, then we will just be somewhere else okay?" Faolán says and Conall nods. They are now walking through the entrance of the great hall. Conall is still amazed every time he walks in. During diner it was amazing, but right now during breakfast there is still this peaceful atmosphere. The tables aren't as packed as during the evening, and everyone is just talking happily with each other. Conall spots Katsumi soon enough and he says goodbye to Faolán and the others, while walking up to Katsumi.

"Goodmorning Kat." Conall says and Katsumi looks up, he immediately gets a big smile on his face and he makes some place next to him.

"Morning Conall, have you slept good?" Katsumi asks while giving him some tea.

Conall takes the tea and warms his hands while holding the cup. "I slept really good actually."

The two of them look at each other and they smile.

"How have you been doing the last year? Our contact wasn't that much last year..." Conall says a bit sad. He hated it that their contact went less.

"It was just really busy, you know the O.W.L.S. coming up, my friends.-" Katsumi says slowly, then he spots conall being sad and he sits more straight towards him. "- look Conall, I hate it that our contact is so less truly. But sometimes things are coming in between."

"I know, I know. And I have thought lots of times about it that it's just us being busy. But yet it feels wrong, it feels empty." Conall says.

"Do you blame me?" Katsumi says a bit hurt.

"What, no no no! I'm not saying that. I mostly blame myself because I should have put more time in it. No I'm not blaming you anything.-" Conall says quick, he is ruining this so badly. Katsumi looks down and Conall things quickly of what to do but he just has an error. Why is he always ruining things. Conall swallows and takes Katsumi's hand, he looks at Katsumi. "-I'm sorry Kat, I truly am. I shouldn't have said any of those things. I'm just..."

They both look at each other and Conall sighs deeply. He can't believe he just said that.

"Sorry... It is not entirely your fault...please don't. Let's just forget this okay?" Katsumi says while he turns red. Conall looks up and turns red as well.

The rest of the breakfast went awkward. They both felt really uncomfortable after their situation and most of the time they stayed silent. When it was time for the classes Katsumi left quickly and Conall did as well, but also because he didn't want to be late. He had an introduction lesson of how he will have to spend this year.

Conall rushes to the classroom and he sees the others already sitting. Roselyn sits alone so Conall sits next to her a bit absent, he can't get over the fact he ruined it with Katsumi completely.

"Are you alright Conall?" Roselyn asks worried.

"Well... if I say I'm alright you won't believe me, so no I'm not okay. But I don't wanna talk about it right now, right here." Conall says, saying his last words carefully. Roselyn nods and than focusses back on the front, where professor Murray is standing.

"Fine you could all find the classroom, so everyone sit down, then I will explain some things.-" Professor Murray says and she waits until everyone settled down, and then she continues talking. "-You guys are probably wondering how your year will be looking, because you would be making your exams this year. But you don't have the same classes here, there are different teachers and just a whole different condition."

Conall looks around at the others, he never thought about this. This was indeed his last year, which means he should make his final exams which will decide for a bit his future. And now with this whole different condition he has no clue of how he is supposed to finish that, but professor Murray will answer his question soon enough.

"We have compared the classes we give here at Hogwarts, with the class you get at Beauxbatons.-" Professor Murray says and she hands out some papers. When Conall gets his paper he sees two rows of subjects and he looks interested to it. "-The main subjects are similar, but the elective classes are completely different. That's why you can choose at least one of our elective classes to follow, and you can always follow more classes if you like. So choose what comes across with the subjects you follow at Beauxbatons, and than choose some classes you would like to follow."

Conall now looks more closely at the paper. As professor Murray said, the main classes are coming across really close. They only difference is that they have care of magical creatures and divination as elective class and not a main class, and they don't have Etiquettes at all. But the elective classes are really different. At Beauxbatons they had more creative elective classes, like humanities, culinary and studio art. At Hogwarts the elective classes were way more serious like ancient runes, muggle studies and arithmancy. He also notices they have Defence Against the Dark Arts as core class.

Conall checks down the classes he follows at Beauxbatons, like charms, herbology, transfiguration, potions and astronomy. Than he looks at the elective classes they follow here. Without hesitation he checks down care of magical creatures, first of all because he also follows that class at Beauxbatons, and he really loves working with the creatures. Furthermore the class ancient runes is attracting him a lot.

"Which classes have you checked down to follow Rose?" Conall asks to Roselyn.

"Hmm... well I did muggle studies, arithmancy and care of magical studies. You?" Roselyn answers.

"I did care of magical creatures as well, and I also choose ancient runes." Conall says.

"Interesting! Thierry, Faolán which subjects did you choose?" Roselyn says.

"I did care of magical creatures, and muggle studies." Thierry answers.

"And I did care of magical creatures as well, and ancient runes." Faolán says. Conall grins when he says that.

"Same bro, I have the same subjects." Conall says happy. He is really glad he follows the same subjects as Faolán, and he is happy that they all follow care of magical creatures. He is really looking forward to the classes, and wondering how it will be this year. Unfortunately he has more things to worry about.
