The holiday was over which meant that Conall can finally start with his training for the practical part. He looked forward to this since the moment he found out what the clues meant. It gave a good boost realising that he knows what the task is about, and he keeps pretending himself going through the task really easy, getting full marks from every judge.
He told Katsumi everything that he knew and Katsumi came with the perfect idea of helping him out with using magic without a wand. Katsumi thought that maybe he didn't have his wand when he was chained up, bc why would you otherwise chain up a wizard? So he should be able to get his wand without using his wand. Conall was impressed with this information and he got excited. Katsumi could perform magic without a wand, and of course he searched up a lot about this topic. He read that every wizard is able to do this, but it is a really advanced magic which needs a lot of practise. The idea alone made Conall excited so he agreed that Katsumi would help him doing this.
And that is how Conall ended in an empty classroom practising this advanced magic. Katsumi told him that the only thing they really needed to handle is that he can get is wand zooming in his hand, so he needed to do a summoning charm without his wand. This meant that Conall first needs to have the summoning charm completely under control, that he could summon every object without thinking to hard. So that is how they started. In the beginning he started with books, which was really easy. Over the time they expanded to the desks and closet. Before Conall knows it he could move any object in this classroom.
Katsumi clapped enthusiastically in his hands when he zoomed the last closet to his right place with the banishing charm, and no one could tell that something happened here.
"Okay that is going perfect!" Katsumi says excited and he jumps on his feet, wanting to go to the next step.
"I think it is best to do the next part another day, I have some classes any moment." Conall says and he checks his watch. Katsumi stopped jumping on his feet and he raises his shoulder.
"You are right, I have a class as well. I will see you at diner?" Katsumi asks.
"Absolutely." Conall grins and he walks out of the classroom.
That evening Conall was having diner with all of his friends. He sits next to Katsumi and they are discussing some things for the tournament.
"Conall... I don't want to be a bother but I think it is best that we train at least once a day. We have 1,5 month left to the next task, and you really need to control the magic to perform it without a wand. And it will be hard..." Katsumi says a bit ashamed. He feels guilty for spending a lot of time together with Conall, because he has the feeling that he is steeling him from Conalls other friends. Katsumi is not on speaking terms yet with Nina, so he is most of the times alone.
"That is alright Katsumi, we will just train during all the gab hours we have together. And if we don't have a gab hour together that day, then we will train in the evening. That is not a problem." Conall gives him a reassuring smile. He knows that Katsumi really doesn't like it, but he wants to help him and Conall could really use his help.
"Yeah, and we don't have to do much either. I really think that we only have to make your non-verbal spells perfect, but further... You already know all the knowledge, we can't help you any further with that, and you can already do the rest." Roselyn says, while looking down in her notebook. Roselyn writes down everything that is related to the things that Conall knows and can do.
"We shouldn't forget about your condition! We have to keep going with what we were doing before your First Task." Thierry says stern. Conall laughs. He loves it that Thierry is so serious about sport, and he could really use that. Thierry is the one that always stays super serious about the tournament, and he keeps his mind clear so Conall focusses on the most important thing.
