39) Second Task

It was the morning of the Second Task. Everyone was talking excited in the Great Hall. Everyone was wearing their school colours, except for Katsumi who of course supported Conall. He was wearing a light blue hoodie that he got from Conall once. Conall smiles at the sight and he eats his breakfast. Roselyn made a plate for him, so that they are sure that he eat enough.

The nerves that Conall had a week ago are now completely gone. He talked everything out with his friends and everything is fine again. Roselyn is talking about the last tactics and then it was time for Conall to go away. He realises that some people try to jinx him last moment, so that he has a disadvantage during the task. Everyone on Hogwarts sees him as the greatest rival, so they want him out of the way.

However, Conall was smart enough and he saw everything coming. He dodged everything or he defended himself with a shield charm, which he conjured silently by holding his wand in his pocket. After this task he finally arrives at the carriage. He sees that is outfit is ready again. This one is way more clean. He has simple trousers and a simple hoodie. He realises that it has no frills on his outfit, nothing that can cause any sound. The outfit is also fitting perfectly with his body, and it is not loose at all. He doesn't bother wearing the shoes and he let them stay where they were. When he is done he walks out on his bare feet and he gets towards the quidditch pitch and he enters the tent.

He sees that he is not the first. Dean is already there and he looks ready. He has a proud and confident smile, as if nothing can stop him. Conall is really impressed at this appearance and he nods to him. Dean nods back and then the others enter the tent as well.

Robin Leavy makes a gesture that they have to come to him and they are standing in a circle around him.

"Alright the next task is about to happen. I hope that you have figured out your clue, because it will not be an easy one. We will blindfold you guys any moment, and when the blind fold leaves then it is your task to get the present to your host. But watch out, don't make the host angry because he is not fond of noise." Robin Leavy says cryptical. Conall nods to him. The host must be the centaur, and the noise explains that they need to be silent. Everything is still going as plan.

As told all the champions get blind folded, and to Conall his horror he feels that his wand is taken from him. He swallows. He didn't control the power to move things without his wand, and he has no clue what to do. This was not the time to worry however. He gets dragged away and after walking for a while he needs to stop. He feels that there are things binding him, this must be the chains. At least it sounds like chains.

Conall could hear distance footsteps and whispers. People must be going to the quidditch pitch to see the task, and there they will find the three champions tied with chains. Conall is curious himself of what he will find when the blindfold will be removed. He is sure that he won't just find the plane grass field of the quidditch pitch, otherwise it is sort of useless to do a silent task. But Conall can still feel the grass tickling his bare feet.

"Let the Second Task begin!" A loud voice says out of nowhere. The blindfolds disappear in thin air and Conall needs to adjust to the light. He blinks a few times and than he looks around him. He sees that there are three big transparent domes, just like the one they were trapped in in the forest, however this one is also closed on the top. He sees that every champion is in their own dome. When Conall scans further he sees that he is trapped against a pole with chains all around him. He tries to move slowly, trying to make as less noise as possible, but he can't move at all.

He looks around and he sees that the others are having a table behind them with their wand. This should mean that he has that table as well, he just needs to get his wand. Before Conall is going to focus on getting his wand he wants to scan everything else. He sees a pot next to him with a mandrake in it with a bow. This means that this is the present. And if he looks further he sees a centaur at the other side of the dome, looking suspicious at Conall. Everything he thought would happen is now happening, which is perfect. Only now he is realising that it is a long way before he is at the centaur. In between them there is a whole obstacle course. Conall sees things like water and leaves.
