45) Madame Pryor

Conall and Faolán are leaving Ashley her house and they are still talking for a while at the front of her door. It is now a few hours later then the moment they arrived at her house. They have slept a few more hours, which Conall really needed, and they just had some tea and food. They are now waving at Ashley to say goodbye and they are walking to the carriage. Their hart is pumping, because everything needs to be perfect.

Before they even reach the carriage the door slams open and Romano walks out mad. When he sees them his looks turns furious and he walks to them.

"Where have you been!" Romano asks quick.

"We went to professor Diggory, to learn more about creatures." Conall says normal, as if nothing is happening.

"At this hour? I don't believe you. Where were you this night?" Romano asks again. Conall realises that he doesn't say directly that he spotted them, and that they are werewolves. This means that he isn't 100% sure of his case, and they can use that in their advantage.

"We stayed in their the whole night. Professor Diggory told us that her mooncalf was about to give birth. We were really interested in that, because they are one of our favourite creatures. She told us that we can be there. So we stayed at her place the whole night, watching over the mooncalf when she was about to give birth, and then we cared for the baby the rest of the night." Faolán says at the same tone as Conall, as if it was the most normal thing ever.

"You... what?" Romano says confused. He looks at the house of Ashley and then back at the boys. At that moment he door slams open again and Thierry rushes out in panic. When he spots them right beside the carriage he changed his look to normal, as if he was about to have his breakfast. Luckily Romano was faced with his back to the door, so he couldn't see his rush and his panic. Romano turns around because of the sudden sound and he sees that it is Thierry.

When he turns back to the twin his face was of insurance, as if he made a big mistake.

"I don't understand... your scars..." Romano thinks out loud and he looks to all the scars that Conall and Faolán have.

"Haven't we told that story before, I thought we made that clear a couple of times. We got attacked by a werewolf when we were younger." Conall says innocent.

"Luckily it wasn't full moon brother, otherwise it would have get so much worse." Faolán laughs and he smiles at Conall.

"Oh yeah, and such a shame that werewolf wounds never heal, so we will be doomed with the scars forever. But he, we are alive!" Conall says. They are risking a lot, to talk about werewolves right in front of Romano. He could easily suspect them even more now. But luck is indeed at their side. Romano doesn't ask further, he only looks with pity to them.

"I am sorry to hear that, I think it must have slipped away my mind..." Romano says and he scratches the back of his head.

"It doesn't matter. It is so long ago, we don't even feel anything of it anymore. It is just a vague memory." Conall says. At that time Ashley is walking up to them and she walks to the group.

"Hey boys! Thanks for helping previous night. Without your help it would have been a lot harder. Hello monsieur Giordano, monsieur LeBlanc, have a good day all." Ashley says with a big smile, and Conall can see a wink. Then she walks of to the castle.

"Good day to you as well Romano. Enjoy the weather, it is beautiful." Faolán says, and together with Conall and Thierry he follows Ashley and they are going inside as well.

When they are sure that they are out of earshot they burst into laughter.

"You should have seen his face Thierry!" Conall laughs and he let himself fall on one of the benches.
