***"Zaivrin Haines, you're such a stubborn little girl." Arnock said as he watch Zai who's kneeling and her hands and feet are chained. She looked up to see the old man's expression and she smirk.
"What's wrong? Is this all you got? How pathetic." Arnock squinted his eyes and signaled his servant to hit her once again with the whip. But Zai just kept on smirking and didn't flinch when the whip with torns hit her shoulder.
"So it really is true." Zai's face turned serious when the old man's tone suddenly changed. Arnock started to walk slowly around her as he speak.
"I wasn't spending my whole life just for nothing. I've desired for knowledge since I was in my early age. Is it true that there are Gods? Is it true that your soul will live in Heavian after you die? Is it true that those seven Gods are truly Gods? Those are just some few questions that I had in mind ever since childhood. I devoted myself to my research. I traveled the world, I killed many creatures just to know the truth of it." he stopped in front of the girl and looked down at her.
"I also learned about your kind." Zai remained quiet after hearing his words. "Hevrions. They are feared because of their natural killing instincts, godlike physical abilities, intelligence, and merciless killings. They are said to be destined to be the right hand of a true king. But only Leonardo Ortron, who is the 14th king and founder of the greatest academy, has been able to tame a Hevrion." Tame? Zai's eyes squinted because of the term that the man used.
"Hevrions are perfect killing machines. They kill with accuracy. Some even say that their way of killing has beauty. There are many rumors about your kind, one of that is your lack in magical power. The Gods removed your capability to use their gifts and why is that?" Arnock smirked and looked directly at the girl's raging eyes.
"Because your kind is a mistake made by a God." Zai tried to punch the man's face but the chains stopped her from doing so. The more she struggle, the chains will continue to crawl to her arm tightly.
"Your kind is the very first demon that was created. You were made with the purpose of eliminating mankind. You are made for our extinction." Arnock smiled and stroke his beard softly.
"But fortunately, Hevrions are not perfect as soldiers who serve their Lady. They hated the fact that they are ruled by one woman." he suddenly laughed and look once again at the girl.
"When I saw you, it just confirmed it. Your kind was only made as killing machines. You despise weaknesses and only acknowledge the strong. I'm surprised that Yan found an endangered organism like you. You are all heartless creatures." Arnock wanted to see what is the girl's reaction but he was surprised to see the girl's arrogant smile. She raised her head to face him. Her eyes were blank and dark while she's wearing a very intimidating smile on her lips.
"That's true. Mercy, death, pain, hope, life.. that's all just meaningless words to us. It runs in the blood." Arnock took a step back when the girl stood up and tried to pull her arms to free herself from the metals that is binding her. Because of her actions, the chains got tighter and crawled up to her arms.
"It's futile. Those chains won't let go, instead, it will give you torture. The more you resist the more it will---" Arnock's eyes widen when one of the chains suddenly broke. The girl is still wearing that devil smile that is giving him a bad feeling.
"Torture? Who are you kidding? I've experienced more torture than this. My father is much more of a devil." the other chain also broke easily by her. She took a step closer to Arnock. She also forced the chains on her feet to break. The only remaining ones are the shackles on her limbs. She grabbed the shackle on her neck and pulled it to break off.
"A demon? Me? Well, thank you for the compliment." Arnock was shock when all of a sudden the girl is already grabbing his face. He can see the girl's face through the gap of her fingers and he was terrified by how the girl look at him. Her eyes looked like a beast's.
The girl pulled his head to whisper to his ear. "I am Zaivrin Hevrion. Remember the name of someone who'll gladly assist you to death's door."
"Zai!"
