Puno ng katahimikan ang kwarto. Asta is cleaning her weapons and Trois is looking at them as well. Asking Asta some questions regarding the blades. Shane is sitting on the floor and in front of him are some containers and herbs. While Zai is still sitting beside the bed, staring at the boy's face with her usual gaze. He's still panting but he looks better than before.

The door opened, Sinbad removed the hood that is covering his face. "They've already started the investigation and it won't be long before they find out that we're here. We need to move."

"Pero pa'no yun?" tanong ni Shane at lumingon sa batang nasa kama. They remained quiet and waited for Zai's words. They waited but no words were heard. Shane shrugged and looked back at the herbs, "Then I guess we'll be staying for a bit longer."

The boy caught Zai's attention when he let out a low groan. Zai touched his forehead and felt his high temperature. Lumapit naman ang iba dito. Asta touched the boy's cheek and she immediately withdrew her hand. "That's one high fever. Did it fail?"

They moved away except for Zai who just put her hand on the boy's back. Shane covered his mouth when he saw blood in his puke.

Zai wiped the boy's lips with a piece of cloth but she was surprised when he suddenly hugged her. Sitting on her lap while his arms are wrapped around her neck like he was scared. He was trembling and crying as he hug her tight.

Asta and Shane sighed in relief, "That's good. He didn't die--" pero bago pa matapos ni Shane ang sasabihin niya ay bigla na lamang rin siyang nasuka. Mabilis namang lumayo rito si Asta.

"Ay p*ta! SHANE! Yung sapatos ko!" sigaw dito ni Asta. Magsasalita sana ang binata ngunit nasundan pa ito ng pagsuka.

But they all stopped and their eyes widen when they heard someone let out a light and very short laugh. They all looked at one direction and they were surprised to see Zai smiling while staring at the boy's face. The boy's big bright eyes are staring at Zai with curiosity but he eventually giggled and smiled with her. For an unknown reason, Zai loves to stare at the boy's warm eyes. They are bright and clear. No hint of malice can be seen.

Trois' eyes widen with surprise as she stare at Zai's smiling face. It's been months since he saw that smile of hers and he'll admit that he isn't used to seeing it now. It isn't bright as before and she's not even fully smiling but seeing the sides of lips raise is enough. Although shocked, he smiled warmly, quite happy with what he's seeing.

Sinbad was surprised to even see her smile but he eventually let out a sigh and looked at the boy's face. Thinking of the same thought that he had when Zai asked Shane to be safe earlier. This woman has an unexpected soft spot towards children.

He stood up and grabbed his sword, "Now that he's fine, we can leave this town now. We have to go as early as possible."

They all glanced at him and Zai's usual expression came back. She nodded and put the boy down. Trois gave her sword to her and they all went out. Hiding their faces with cloaks. But the moment they walked out the door of the house, there are already guards surrounding them.
