Chapter 37: Misunderstanding Part 1

  I want to be
With you,

It is as simple
As complicated
as that.

Cyndiana Collins POV

I woke up hearing people screaming. My eyes bloodshot opened, I adjusted my eyes according to the lighting in the room, search around for him. But no one was there, I was all alone.

Perhaps they don't know that I'm already awake.
I thought.

Suddenly, I heard a terrifying growl.
I quickly got out of the amazing and comfortable bed and slowly yet carefully set my feet on the floor to explore the unknown place. I had this strange feeling of a similar scenario.

As I continued to walk down the hall which was quite large that can easily get you lost which I guess I was.
I could hear some hushed whispers at a distance. That's exactly when I came in face of my husband flirting with a gorgeous woman. They were really close to each other much to my distaste. Maybe they are close friends, I thought.
 

But what I heard next had me trembling with anger  and pain, unconsciously I let out a small growl.

"What was that? "
The woman asked.

I quickly hide myself behind a curtain.
No this can't be happening again. I felt betrayed, used and no matter how hard I tried to stop myself from crying some treacherous tears fell down onto my cheeks. That's when it hit me. He doesn't love me, he just used me. But my heart believed otherwise. Was he lying when he said he loves me?

I don't know,  I don't wanna find out either. I'm done with people treating me like shit just because I love them. Right now I just want  to get the hell out of here. So I quickly rushed to find the door that would lead me outside. I was about to turn the knob when a hand grabbed my wrist and sparks flew. I instantly knew it was him.

Darren Walker POV

"She's here."

Xavier my beta informed me.

"Thank you, you may leave now."

It was time to act upon  the deal but I made some changes which I can't really share with anyone right now.  As I walked nervously into the lounge, I saw a beautiful woman with medium height and blonde hair standing in front of me. But she was of no comparison to my mate. Cyndiana is beyond gorgeous and the fact that she doesn't even realise this, makes her even more irresistible.

"Hello handsome. "
She greeted me.

"Luciana, you look amazing just as always.
Welcome to our pack!
I greeted her back.

While she winked at me and pulled me into a tight embrace.

"Don't be shy lover boy I'm all yours. "

She grinned at me.

Out of nowhere, we then heard a low growl which made us both become alert of our surroundings. I quickly pulled myself out of her arms as I felt uncomfortable with her touch.

" She is not our mate, I hate her already, my Wolf Kris whispered in my head".

" Make yourself comfortable Princess Luciana, I'll send someone to show you the room that you will be staying in until the ceremony. "

" Why so formal?
Oh my King give me the honour to share your room,she giggle teased me. While I merely smirked at her.

"Oh my lady not so soon, anyway I have to go as I have to handle some pack matters. See you later Luciana. I excused myself and walked off. "

" Call me Lucy hottie. "
   She beamed at me.

I was somehow feeling restless so I went to check on Cyndiana when I saw our bed empty and she was nowhere in sight.
Where is she?
I thought to myself.
I growled out loudly, if this time someone got her, I will show no mercy and rip out his heart directly.
She is mine and only mine.

I rushed out to look for her only to find her at the main door, relief washed over me. She was about to open the door when I stopped her.
