Cyndiana Collins POV
It's been a week already since I had that conversation with Ryan but it still feels like yesterday. He ignores me most of the time and doesn't talk to me, I don't try as well, it seems like we are both busy ignoring each other. I spend most of my time with Melisa, yes she has become my best friend just like Daniel, I told her everything about why I was acting weird the last time and she looked at me sadly, well I totally hate that look now. Everyone seem to pity me a lot because of my heart break needless to say that they hate Ryan even more including Dee, Daniel and Xavier.
Lately Ryan has been going on a date with a particular woman, well it's not like I'm stalking him or something but there are rumors going on about him and a new girl, I tried hard not to feel bad after all he told me that I was worthless and perhaps ugly too but each time they would talk I would feel hurt and sad.
On one particular evening , as usual I was getting ready to go back home, when suddenly I noticed Mr. Smith leaning on the door, he was looking at me viciously I wonder what I've done to this poor man to deserve such bad treatment but as the saying goes like father like son, idiots.
I faked a smile before asking him to get in but before I could even say a word; he started walking towards me, I felt nervous,
"Well Cyndiana, today is my wedding anniversary and I have an important announcement to make so I would be glad if you could come"
He looked at me with pity in his eyes, I knew he was faking it, but I'm strong now, I'm not gonna fall in anyone's trap anymore so I copied his tone and said;
"Well Mr. Smith happy anniversary to you and your wife I would really love to join you but I've got an important dinner plan with my family to attend today so I'm so sorry I won't be able to make it, I hope you would understand."
" I need you to be there at exactly 8 o'clock because you are going to be the one responsible to handle that party now and I don't want to hear any lame excuse anymore, maybe you forgot about that contract?"
"I want you to be there otherwise as you already know, I'm not friendly with any of my employees, am I clear Miss. Collins?" he said to me angrily.
I simply nodded back at him. I knew this man was capable of doing anything to make his business at top level.
So I immediately left for home to get ready for the party, I knew something bad was on it's way especially when Mr. the top business man came to my cabin to invite me personally about this surprise party.
