Cyndiana Collins POV
I was back home by 5pm, I was tired as hell so I did not bother to take a shower but instead decided to take a 30 minutes nap so that my headache could be gone. I was in deep sleep until someone shook the hell out of me.
"Dee let me sleep I'm tired", I told the person but I knew it was Nadio because we both lived alone in a small apartment in London as our parents are settled in Austria due to dad's construction business.
"How was your day?"
" Have you eaten something ? "
" Why are you sleeping, wake up and go take a shower while I prepare the dinner. "
" Wake up little one, it's already 7pm."
"What? 7pm already? But it's been just a while since I slept."
"Are you joking Cyn? You've been sleeping for 2 hours", she said while I was left dumbstruck.
"Ohh my god Dee, he's gonna kill me!" "Am in deep trouble."
"Who's gonna kill my baby, who's so dumb to touch you, I swear he won't see the sunlight tomorrow if he touches you, I will kick his ass."
"Well, that's more like my dramatic Dee! Ohh sorry, over dramatic!"
She rolled her eyes at my comment, but quickly pulled me into a bone crushing hug.
"So tell, me what's the problem? "
, she asked.
"Well, I'm going to a business gathering with my cheap half ass boss at a hotel perhaps as in a charity ball, I don't know and I have nothing good to wear, I replied."
Soon there was a frown on her beautiful face but she faked a smile I knew that she didn't like the idea of Ryan and me being together even if it's just for a short period of time. She then stormed into our room, opened her closet and pulled out a breathtaking red satin gown. I was speechless by its beauty, it was simple yet elegant.
"This might cost a fortune Dee, who gave this to you? ", I asked her.
"I bought it for my best friend Eva's wedding last year, which eventually got cancelled as the guy turned out to be gay, not complaining everyone should live their life the way they want. So in short, I could not wear it but since you're going to a business party with perhaps which might include celebrities, business men and models and there might be media as well , I want you also to be well dressed for the occasion, that's why I want you to wear this and I will do your makeup ok? "
"Of course Dee, I replied. " I quickly placed a small kiss on her forehead and rushed to take a shower.
