Chapter 50 : The Choice

I'll never finish falling
in love with you.

Darren Walker POV

" Save her. "

" Is this your final decision Alpha? "

" Yes. "

It's been 2 hours, they are still conducting the operation. The more time it took, the more I felt the pain of losing my mate and my pup. Xavier, Cyndiana's sister Nadia and  Daniel are all waiting along with me.
After a few minutes Bella came out.

" Alpha, I need to speak to you in private please if you don't mind. "

" Let's go. "

I followed her into her cabin.

" The Luna is fine but I'm afraid I could not save your pup."
She told me with remorse and regret in her eyes.

This is all my fault, I once again failed to protect her. I thought as tears rolled down onto my cheek. Dad was right I'm a failure, I can never keep someone happy in my life. I'm unworthy of being loved and to love.

I was about to leave when she said something that had me shaking with so much anger and thirst to kill. My eyes flicked from blue to red. My knuckles started to turn white as my Wolf fights to take over.

"Someone attacked her, pounced on her and finally pushed her down the stairs in an attempt to kill her. The Luna is strong, she did not give up. She kept fighting until the operation was over."

Within seconds I was standing outside my house along with my best warriors and my beta. Find me the person whose scent lingers in my house, unharmed. I would personally take joy into breaking his bones, tearing his libs apart and finally rip his heart out. I commanded in my Alpha tone. They all back away from me as if my presence burned them.

A few minutes later.

"Darren what happened darling. These despicable idiots dragged me out from my bed. You know how irritating that is?
If you wanted me, you just had to come into my room and you know I will never disappoint you, don't you?"
She purred at me in her slutty voice and gave me a wink.

Disgusting little bitch.
"Listen up here lady before I rip your heart out from your body while you're still standing right here having no time to react. Tell me why you did what you did I might let you go if you be honest. I growled at her in my Alpha tone.
( WHO am I joking with, either way she's dead, I just want to know if there's someone else involved).

She seems to be taken aback for a while. I see as fear creeps into her  grey eyes. It gives me so much joy to see her vulnerable.

"I don't know what you're talking about. " She stutters.

I've been patient for too long, in a blink of a second I was holding her up in the air while my hands were firmly and tightly settled around her fragile neck. She kept fighting and begging for me to let go as I strangled her. But do I care. No

" OK, let me go", I'll tell you she whispered, her voice hoarse from crying.

"Spit it out. "

" It's your da.... " she was shot before she could even complete her sentence right in the head with silver bullets.

I was on the verge of killing.

" Get me that bastard." I roared at my warriors. It didn't sounded like me. There was so much venom in those words.

" Darren. "

" It's Alpha for you", I furiously growled at the person who cautiously moved away from me. My eyes were bloody red I could sense fear dripping out of every single werewolf present here at this very moment. I felt powerful and it surprisingly made me happy.

"Leave me alone."

Xavier Rostove POV

I've never seen Darren in this form before . He was cruel and he looked merciless with his red eyes. What shocked me the most was that he never talked to me like that before. This can mean only one thing, he is already transforming into our Lycan King, he was no longer my best friend.

Cyndiana Collins POV

"Please leave me alone", I said with tears in my eyes.
I guess the nurse understood because she did not came back to force me to eat. It's been 1 hour since I woke up and the doctor broke the news to me.

I was beyond broken, I could no longer bear this pain of losing my child. I've already attempted to kill myself several times but they manage to stop me each time. I no longer had the desire to live.

I was so lost in my own thoughts when I felt someone pulled me into a tight embrace. His tears fell onto my neck while he wept and buried his face deep into my neck.

"I'm so sorry love. " He whispered.

I couldn't control myself as I pulled him closer to me and cried in his arms. We stay like that for long until he pulled away as if my touch burned him, his red eyes bored into my hazel ones, he wrapped his hands tightly around my neck, I couldn't breath but I didn't tried to stop him either .

"You killed my pup." He snarled at me.
He uttered those words with so much hatred and venom that it sent shivers down to my spine.
