Cyndiana Collins POV
I started to feel weaker each second, his red eyes bored into mine. The door was abruptly opened by a nurse who let out a loud scream before rushing out to call for help. Within seconds, Xavier and Bella stood a feet away from us.
"Alpha you will hurt the Luna, please stop I beg of you, Bella pleaded to him but Darren looked satisfied and pleased to hurt me. It didn't seemed like the guy he was a day before. Xavier on the other hand, was in deep thoughts.
"Alpha if you don't let go now, you will lose the Luna too, without her your powers would fade away with time. " Xavier said.
I guess that made him realise something because he quickly let go of me and rushed outside without sparing me a glance. What happened, what is wrong with him? I thought to myself.
" Bella, could you please spare us a second, I need to speak to the Luna.
Thank you."
With said being said, Bella nodded at him and left the room leaving me alone with Xavier.
"How can he say that I killed my baby, he was a part of me, I carried him for three months, how can he say that?"
"I lost my baby, it's the worst part of a woman's life, this pain is unbearable "
" How can he be so insensitive? "
With that I burst out crying.
After a few minutes of crying, Dee rushed to my side and consoled me. No matter how much I try, I can't get over the fact that if I was strong enough to protect my child, this wouldn't have happened in the first place, maybe he was right.
" Cyndiana I'm sorry for everything that happened but you need to be strong for both you and Darren."
I nodded at him.
"The guy that just attempted to kill you was not Darren himself, it's his wolf Kris. He is upset with you for the death of his pup, he is acting on his animals instincts and not thinking rationally with his human mind.
Darren is in a state of transformation from an alpha wolf to our Lycan King , he is unlikely to behave like himself. During this period, his wolf will take over him several times, and he will become quite dangerous and act like a beast. You'll have to be quite cautious around him. "
This was too much information to absorb, I thought.
" If you don't want to, I won't force you but the Alpha needs your help Luna, only you can bring back my best friend I don't want Kris to take over him completely, it will only cause chaos if this happens, Darren would be lost and buried deep into his soul, we would lose him forever."
" Bring me to him, I said weakly."
