Maya was looking at all of the pictures in the frames in Cory's room as she tried to fight her tears.
Josh stood in the door knowing that it won't ever happen that he tells her about his feelings soon.
Even if he does want to tell her what is going on.
"Hey. How you feeling about going back home?" Josh asked.
"Nerves. Me and Mom aren't very good at the bonding thing. But maybe we will get better at it. Can't believe Shawn is really gone as well," Maya said making Josh look at her.
"He went to Ohio. It's done, Josh. She send me a text saying that it's over and step-dad can be forgotten. I'm scared," Maya said and Josh pulled her close to him.
"I'm here," Josh said and Maya smiled knowing she was safe.
"Thank you. You're always there for me especially lately. I appreciate it," Maya said.
"Anytime," Josh said.
