"I can't believe you guys sprung this on me just earlier this morning! Who's dumb idea was it to go to a carnival anyway?" Jinyoung complained as he dug through a heap of clothes to find something to wear.
Jackson, who was also getting ready for their night out, scoffed at the younger's remarks. "Oh, so you're calling me and Mark's anniversary dumb?"
"N-No! But-... what if I had plans!?"
Jackson turned, looking across the room at his roommate who's entire problem was his lack of plans and socializing. "Plans like what? You don't do anything all day besides think about Jaebum, jerk off while thinking about Jaebum, try to study but think about Jaebum too much to focus, and then visit Jaebum's dorm for an unscheduled 'study session' so you don't have to jerk off and he'll take care of it instead."
Jinyoung's jaw fell open. "Since when did I do that!?"
"Earlier this week when you were supposed to be at the cafe."
"For the billionth time that was just a coincidence!"
Jackson hummed and shrugged his shoulders, obviously not believing a word Jinyoung said. "Well, you can always not come if you really don't want to."
That option was attractive; just staying back in his dorm and not having to deal with others for hours at a noisy carnival; but he was invited out for a special occasion and he promised Jaebum that he would try to put himself out there more. Declining last minute would make him feel bad, and Jinyoung was trying his hardest to be less of the uptight loner he was used to being. "But... it's you and Mark's anniversary... you guys want to spend it with us, which isn't typical for couples but, I'm flattered to be invited..."
"I feel like you're 20% flattered and 80% going because Jaebum's going." Jackson replied.
Jinyoung let out a noise of offense. "No, that's not it at all!"
That argument was full of crap; Jackson knew Jinyoung pretty well and he knew for a fact that if Jaebum wasn't going, he wouldn't go either. It was the only way both of them would leave their dorms, as Jaebum was quite the homebody himself; definitely not as much as Jinyoung; but it was good for both of them to enjoy a different atmosphere than school all day.
Jackson being his mischievous self enjoyed messing with the younger; especially when it came to his denial of how head over heels he was for Jaebum; he decided to test out Jinyoung's claim with a little prank.
His phone was laid on his bed; Jackson picked it up and pretended to read something on the screen. "Aw man..."
Jinyoung turned away from his clothes pile, the disappointed tone of Jackson's voice catching his attention. "What? Is something wrong?"
"Mark texted, said something suddenly came up with Jaebum. He can't go." Jackson groaned.
Jinyoung dropped the shirt he was holding in his hands, his brows knitting together in concern. "Seriously? What happened?"
"A professor told him to redo a project and he only has a few hours to complete it. Jaebum has to complete it, y'know projects are a huge part of the grade. He said to have fun without him." Jackson clicked his tongue, shaking his head. "Well, looks like there's six of us now..."
Jinyoung chewed on his lip, his face having lost all of its brightness after hearing the fake news. "Um... well it is your anniversary, you should celebrate it with Mark and only Mark anyway. Maybe I should stay back and check up on Jaebum, maybe help him finish the project-"
"Annnnd point proven. You're 100% going only because of Jaebum." Jackson retorted with an evil smirk.
Jinyoung blinked, his jaw hanging open. "What? S-So Jaebum's project-?"
