Jinyoung stepped up to the wooden door, letting out a heavy breath. He was late, only because he was trying to figure out which of his hoodies looked cute yet comfortable on him. not that it should matter, it wasn't like he was trying to impress the elder.
The thought of having feelings for Jaebum did cross his mind plenty of times in the past week. He tried his best to ignore the thoughts, but Jackson really had him thinking about how he felt. He didn't know exactly what he was feeling.
Maybe he did find Jaebum attractive, just a bit.
Maybe he did fall for his charm and kind personality, but anyone would.
Maybe he did constantly dream and daydream about him, from intimacy to simple heart fluttering moments-
Maybe he had a little crush on Jaebum.
That's what he concluded after a week. He'd only admit to a little one, not a soul crushing 'I can't live without him' kind of crush. He just liked being around Jaebum, and though he hated how awkward he was and how jumbled his sentences became every time him and the elder would lock eyes, he felt a sort of warmth emanating from him that was too addicting to completely stray away from. No matter how much he tried to avoid Jaebum, he ended up right back with him, and found it more appealing every time.
He had knocked on the door, anxiousness making him unable to stand still. He was nervous about seeing Jaebum's face again, yet he desperately wanted to see it (as if he hadn't already seen it every other day in biology class), but he knew how much of a wreck he turned into when in close proximity of that man-- he could only pray that he didn't do anything totally embarrassing again.
Half a minute of waiting on his knocking to be answered felt like forever, but the door finally cracked open with Jaebum's seemingly glowing face peeking out through the opening. His hair was damp and plastered to his forehead, a towel slung over his shoulder. He immediately broke into a wide smile at the sight of Jinyoung fidgeting where he stood on the opposite side of the door.
"Hey."
"H-Hi, sorry I'm a little late, I ran into Yugyeom in the hall..."
"That's alright. Come in."
Jaebum opened the door wider, gesturing for Jinyoung to enter. He stepped through the threshold of Jaebum's dorm room, jolting at the sound of the door closing behind him. He spun around, his eyes immediately dropping to Jaebum's chest that was slightly exposed in the low neck tank top he wore along with a simple black pair of shorts.
Jinyoung's throat was already drying; he had to try his hardest to focus on their task at hand.
"S-So um... I brought all my books, should we continue with plant cells from last time or...?" He trailed off, allowing Jaebum to make the choice.
The elder nodded, pointing to the coffee table pushed up against a wall. "Sure, set yourself up and I'll be right there. I just got out of the shower so give me a few minutes to freshen up."
Jinyoung did as he was told, sneaking glances at Jaebum who disappeared into the bathroom. He sat right where they had their little coffee accident the week before, noticing that this time the table was completely empty. At least he didn't have to worry about spilling anything all over Jaebum again (despite being fond of the eye-candy show he got because of it).
"How was your day, Jinyoung?" Jaebum's voice echoed from the bathroom, startling Jinyoung with its sudden appearance.
"Oh uh, it was as usual." Jinyoung answered despite hating casual questions; he never knew what to say in response. He could tell Jaebum was just trying to make conversation, but he should know that one of Jinyoung's worse strengths was conversation.
