BamBam, Yugyeom, and Youngjae greeted the other couples by the entrance of the carnival, all three of them wearing wide smiles on their faces.

"Guys you're here!" Yugyeom excitedly announced as the four approached. He was already holding half eaten cotton candy, the pink color stained on his lips.

"Is it true that Jinyoung and Jaebum are together!?" BamBam asked as his eyes darted between the two men in question.

"Well, they're holding hands." Jackson pointed out, leaning in closer and lowering his voice slightly. "Not platonic hand holding either, it's the romantic type."

The three of them gasped, Youngjae being the one to squeal with excitement. "You guys are so cute!"

Despite Jackson's effort to speak quietly, his comment was heard by everyone since the elder wasn't exactly good at being quiet. Jinyoung blushed as he felt Jaebum squeeze his hands, knowing that the elder was looking at him with those adoring brown eyes.

How could he manage the rest of the night with his heart already beating so fast?

"How about we explore a bit then later grab a table and find some food?" Mark offered as he checked the time.

The carnival closed at a pretty late hour, but the group wanted to make sure they got the most fun out of their time spent there, so they arrived just before sundown and planned to stay either until they got tired of it or until its operating hours were over.

"Meet back here in an hour?"Jackson suggested.

"Sure!" Yugyeom exclaimed. The trio that had beat the rest to the carnival was already walking off, their arms linked together as they disappeared into the crowd.

Mark and Jackson looked at one another before shrugging and heading off together in their own direction. Jackson looked over his shoulder at Jinyoung who would be left all alone with Jaebum, throwing a wink back at him as he walked away.

Jinyoung wanted to thank him and throttle him at the same time.

"Looks like it's just you and me."

Jinyoung jolted at the sound of Jaebum's voice, for a moment forgetting that the elder was standing right beside him. He turned to face him, nodding slowly as it sank in that he and Jaebum were going to be alone together for a bit. Their study sessions were no different from this, but Jinyoung still got jittery when it came to spending time with him and only him.

He swallowed his nerves as best as he could and tried to act chill; they were at a carnival, he shouldn't be thinking so much. "Yeah... so, what do you wanna do?"

"Hm..." Jaebum looked around, walking further through the booths and tents that were set up all around them. Something caught his eye as he stopped short and stared off into the distance. "Should I win you something?"

Jinyoung followed his gaze over to a water squirting booth that was just waiting for people to spend their money on a few rounds. "Oh, you want to play mini-games?"

The elder nodded. "Yeah, should be fun. You have to compete with me though."

"Oh I'm not really good at them-"

Jinyoung was shut up as soon as Jaebum tightly squeezed his hand, the elder's attention completely pulled away from the glowing booth for those few moments. "The point is not to be good at it, it's to have fun. Come on."

Jaebum dragged Jinyoung behind him to the booth, requesting a two player competition while pulling out his wallet. Jinyoung didn't even have time to offer to pay as Jaebum was already handing the person running the booth his money and settling himself onto one of the stools behind the water guns.
