after the best 5 days of my life, it was the final day of vacation. i was so sad to see everything coming to an end. this trip had been the best couple days i think ever. i had experienced so much, bought a little too much, and decided this is definitely where i'd love to live when i go off on my own. the west coast was where i wanted to go to college, grow up, raise my family, and live for the rest of my life. i love my family and i love new jersey but this experience made me realize my heart is in california for sure.

packing up everything in the hotel was stressful. deja was miserable and didn't want to go home, mariana was miserable because she DID want to go home, and my aunt was annoyed with all of us. we walked downstairs with all our luggage and loaded up the car we were going to return.
the flight home was exhausting, emotional, and significantly worse than the first flight there. i looked at deja, "i really didn't want to leave." she nodded, "you and me both." i was happy to be going home to see my friends, kairi, my mom and dad, and everyone else but something weighed on me. like i said before, i think my heart and soul really do belong in california. someday, i'll fulfill that feeling and spend the rest of my life there. but, for now i'll stay a jersey girl.
