Maura's POV
I hit the floor and Jane ran to me. Blood seeped through my shirt onto the floor and started to pool around me. Jane hovered over me as she called 911. Jane pressed some towels to my stomach. I was taking short breaths and was struggling to keep my eyes open. "Maura stay with me." Jane said stroking my cheek. I raised my hand up to her and took it, squeezing it tight. "I-I'll be f-fine J-Jane..." everything was turning black. Then I was out......I opened my eyes to see the ceiling of a ambulance. I had on an oxygen mask and was strapped onto a gurney. I looked over to see Jane sitting there, she was blurry. Everything was blurry. "J-Jane..." Janes head snapped towards me. "Hey baby...your going to be okay. You are going to be just fine, okay?" I nodded and Jane kissed my temple. Then I blacked out again.... When I woke again I was in a hospital room. I looked around and saw Jane talking to a doctor out side my room. Jane looked in and saw me watching them. She opened the door and walked over to me. The doctor followed and started to check my vitals. "Hey baby...how do you feel?" Jane asked as I took off the oxygen mask. "Fine...but everything is still blurry." I said. "Mrs Isles, when your head hit the floor of your house it caused a chain reaction in your brain thus causing mild eye sight loss. You will most likely need glasses now if it doesn't clear up by tomorrow."
"Glasses?!" I said looking at Jane. "I can't wear glasses, I'll look like an old lady." I fussed. "No you won't, I bet you'll look super hot." Jane said happily. I smirked up at her. The doctor left after she checked me. Jane leaned down and kissed my forehead. I smiled at her and kissed her lips softly. "I'm so happy you are ok." Jane said against my lips quietly. "So am I."
Few months later.
I woke up to the sound of my alarm. Then it shut off and I felt a kiss on my cheek. I slipped off my sleeping mask and saw Jane smiling over me. "Morning." I gave her a soft kiss. Jane smiled. "Just a sec." I grabbed my glasses from the bed side table and slipped them on my face. "There's my beautiful detective." I said happily. Jane smiled again. "You are awfully quiet this morning." Jane just shrugged and I looked at her strangely. I wrapped my legs around her and flipped over on top of her. "What's going on with you?" I asked again. "Nothing." She replied back. "What is it Jane?" I asked with a harsher tone. Jane broke out into a smile. "what?!" I asked. "Check under your pillow."
"Oo did the tooth fairy leave me some money." I said sarcastically. "Was that sarcasm Mrs Isles?"
"It was." I said as I crawled back to my pillow. I lifted it an saw a satin pouch. I picked it up and it jingled. "She did." I said smiling. I in laced the gold ribbon and unloaded the contents of the bag. "Jane...." I gasped at the pile of rings in my lap. "Pick your favorite, and that will be your engagement ring. Then your next favorite one is your wedding band."
"Jane...," tears started flowing down my cheeks. "They are so beautiful." I said taking a handful of the rings. "H-How did you afford this?"
"I have my ways." Jane stroked my cheek. "I-I...Jane...." I cried. "Is that a yes?"
"Of course..." I said as I picked out two rings. "What about the others?" I asked. "They are yours." I smiled. Jane crawled over to me and I smiled at her. I wiped the tears from my face. "You want to have a little fun..." Jane trailed off as she fiddled with the hem of my shirt. "No because I have cry face right now."
"Maura...you look beautiful, please..."
"No..." I got up and slipped on my engagement ring. Then handed Jane my wedding ring. "I'm going to put these in my jewelry box." I said walking off to my closet. After Jane and I had breakfast I pulled her into our bedroom. "Now...you are mine, and will be. All. Day. Long." I whispered in her ear as I laid the brunet on the bed. The rest of the day we spent in that bed room. I giggled as I rolled off of Jane. "I can not wait for you to be my wife." Jane breathed out. I smiled. "Are you going to wear a dress?"
"Really Maura, you go strait to the dress." Jane laughed. "Yes." I snuggled up to my fiancé and kissed the top of her shoulder. "You are impossible." Jane said softly. I giggled and kissed her shoulder again. Jane rubbed my arm "I will wear a dress..." Jane grumbled. I smiled and squeezed her small waist.
"I love you."
"I love you too Janie."
