I walked into the morgue and Maura was bouncing up and down. "Whoa Tigger, why are ya jumping?" I asked. Maura smiled up at me. "I have been invited to go to a Christmas party."
"Who's party?"
"An old friend. And I...need a date." Maura looked up at me with big doe eyes. "Ugh...Maura, please don't make go. I don't want to be stuck at some snobby rich persons house for hours on end while you discuss art and round world travels."
"Jane please." Maura pleaded, her doe eyes melting my heart. "Pretty please." she batted her eyes and pouted. "Ughhhh....okay, what ever. I'll go to your snobby party. What do I have to wear."
"Yay! And I will get your attire prepared Jane. Don't worry."
"Oh I'm worried."
"Well don't be. Your going to look beautiful." I rolled my eyes. "When is this thing."
"Tonight...."
"Maura! Tonight. Really?"
"Yes..."
"Ok I'll be at your house around 6. Is that ok?"
"Perfect. oh thank you thank you." Maura cheered and wrapped me in a bone crushing hug. "Anything for you Maur." I nuzzled into her blonde hair. We pulled away and smiled at each other. "See you at 6." I said walking out.

I pulled up to Maura's and walked up to the front. I knocked on her door and a few seconds later she opened it. "Jane!"
"Hey Tigger." Maura blushed at her new nickname. "Come on we have to start getting ready." Maura grabbed my hand and pulled me into her house. "This is an extremely formal event in Boston so we are going to look fabulous." Maura said as she pulled me up the stairs to her room. There were two black bags on the bed. I'm not going to complain about the dress because Maura's been working really hard. I went to the bag that said Jane and unzipped it. "Maura..." I smiled are gorgeous black suit in the bag. "You didn't make me wear a dress..." I said, feeling quite touched. "Of course not, you hate dresses." Maura said poking her head out from the bathroom. "Come here we have to get your hair done." Maura motioned to me. I smiled and walked into the bathroom. Maura sat me down on her stool and looked at me in the mirror. Her hair was already curled and fixed. She reached for the sea salt hair paste, dipped in her fingers scooping some out and rubbed it together in her hands. Then she ran her fingers through my hair, scrunching the curls and fixing my bangs. "Beautiful." Maura said stepping back and washing her hands. "That's it?" I asked. "Well we still have your make up but yes. You have beautiful curls Jane, no need to tame them." Maura did my make up then sent me to change into my suit and heels. When I finished I went down stairs and waited for Maur.
