Walking down the isle Betty smiled as she saw her emotional soon to be future wife with her Luna standing next to Lyric as her best man and an equally emotional Star standing opposite them as her maid of honor. Even though the twins were too old they had added them into the wedding as ring bearers and flower girls. The memory of how she proposed brought tears into her eyes.

' Oh gosh I promised myself I would not cry.'

She laughed as her father gave her away. Today they were not only celebrating a wedding but their two year anniversary. Lyric had proposed at a family function hosted by Nicole's parents who were supportive of her relationship with Lyric. Who also asked not only for her parent's permission to marry her but from Nicole's parents and her children. Nicole obviously cussed her off when she asked her and the day she proposed Nicole caused a scene. Hence she was not invited to this auspicious occasion.

' It's okay. I can't stop the waterworks too. You look so angelic. I don't think you've ever been this beautiful.'

' You look dapper yourself if I do say so myself.'

The pastor continued when the handing over part was done. The couple had eyes only for each other as they stood on the altar infront of family and friends. Lyric could not stop thinking of how lucky she was to have such a great woman in her life. She on the other hand marvelled at how much she made her feel so loved and appreciated. Nicole loved her and she loved her too but she did not make her happy. Especially after the weight gain.

' I love you.'

Betty whispered.

' I love you more.'

Lyric whispered and gave her a peck on the lips and the pastor scolded them before giving them the opportunity to say their vows. Once again it seemed like they were the only two people in that venue as Lyric professed her love for her. The tears could not stop racing down her plump darkskin cheeks. This was the best day ever till....

' BETTY!!! BETTY!!! '

Her heart stopped beating for a second when she heard the sound of a voice she knew so well and by the sound of it, she was intoxicated.

'ARE YOU REALLY FUCKING MARRYING THAT DRUG ADDICT!!'

Nicole ignored her father when he tried to talk to her and get her out of the venue. Lyric was beyond angry. Nicole had disrespected her on many occasions and she had let it slide but today she was not having it.

' You know you cannot love anyone but me and baby I'm sorry. I've learnt my lesson. Come home baby.'

' No let me talk to her.'

Betty stopped Lyric when she attempted to confront Nicole.

' Please.'

Lyric hesitated for a second before letting her go. Without a word, Betty pulled her by her wrist into the venue's kitchen.

' Do you hate me that much that you don't want to see me happy with anyone Nicole!'

' If that anyone ain't me then yeah. I want you to be happy with me. Just end this charade and let's run away.'
