' Excuse me beautiful,'

Even though she was having a bad day due to her soon to be ex wife refusing to sign the divorce papers, Betty turned with a smile and came face to face with the most beautifully handsome person she had seen in a while.

' Would you mind letting me pass I have just one item to pay for and I am in a hurry.'

She was standing second in line and had about five items in her basket. She too was in a hurry but quickly let the stranger pass. They smiled at her and thanked her.

' The lady who just left paid for your groceries and asked me to give you these.'

The cashier handed her a receipt with phone numbers and change. With her mind occupied by events of earlier, she did not pay much attention to what the beautiful stranger was doing. Hence this all surprised her.

' How did she know how much to pay?'

The cashier shrug her shoulders. Betty took her groceries and walked out. In her glove compartment she placed the receipt. With the idea that she would text the stranger later to thank her. Her home was eerily quiet when she walked in. The kids were with Nicole. Her door bell rang just as she got out of the shower. Knowing it was Samu she went to answer her front door in her towel.

' Hey boo, so how did it go today?'

It had been six months since she last served Nicole with divorce papers and this was their third time meeting in the past two months. Everytime Nicole had outrageous demands and stalled on signing the papers. Betty did not understand why since she told her that she wanted nothing.

' She complained that she was not signing till she knew who told me about her affair.'

' You still haven't told her how you found out?'

' Yes I haven't. I don't think it's important. I just want her to free me and let me live my life. You know I thought if I did this she would be happy but No!'

Samu pulled her friend in a hug when her eyes welled up with tears. Nicole was being extra with this divorce. They had agreed that Nicole have the kids on weekends and holidays. On weekends she would fetch them Monday from school but Nicole seemed to always make it there before her and take their kids with her.

' It will be fine babe. I'm really sorry you have to go through this. This will pass.'

' She keeps telling the kids that I cheated on her with you and that's why I want a divorce.'

' I hope the kids don't believe her.'

' Luna is not sure what to believe but with our relationship already strained Star believes whatever she says and has been recently demanding to stay with her mom. I really don't know how to fix this mess she's causing. I never wanted this but now I'm the bad person.'

' Did you show them the video.'

Betty had shown her the recording.

' Star doesn't care for much I have to say and I really can't with her right now.'
