The day had started simply enough, if you exclude the little round of morning sex, and continued as typically as any other.
You were resting your aching bones and cursing the fact that even walking to the bathroom felt like a chore, vowing to never let yourself get like this when you got back home, whether it be Loki's child or someone else's.
Taking this moment of silence, you began to think over the complications of your situation and just how it would shift the dynamic between you and Loki.
It was obvious things would change, whether he was his adult-self or not you had both seen one another naked and you had all but confessed your feelings, though you weren't entirely sure where you stood with Loki.
Amora was still an issue as well, you definitely didn't want to be on the receiving end of her wrath.
Slowly rocking in the chair, you found yourself cradling the bump as the child inside moved around and pushed against your hand.
That was still strange and alien to you, but you were beginning to get adjusted to it, worryingly.
You had lost yourself in your thoughts and feeling of the baby kicking so deeply that you failed to notice an orange swirl in the corner of the room, which gradually grew in size until it was large enough for someone to walk through.
It wasn't until there was a cry of; "My child!" and the sound of rushed footsteps that you were finally snapped out of your reverie, just in time to see your barely out of teens-self rushing forward and dropping to her knees before you, her hands pressing to your bump.
Staring down at her in bewilderment, your eyes widened and eyebrows raised, you heard a familiar chuckle follow behind her and turned towards the portal to see the Loki you were most familiar with stepping through, catching a glimpse of Strange before he gave you a friendly nod and closed the portal he had created.
"I think you gave the poor girl a heart attack," he smiled, placing his hand on her shoulder.
She didn't move, only smiled widely while telling the baby how much she had missed them.
You weren't entirely sure what to do, or where to look considering the things you had gotten up to during your brief stay here.
"It's okay," you managed to stammer out, "she's just excited."
"Beyond excited," she replied, finally looking up at you with an expression that read purely of a mother's love. "We shall have this settled soon."
"Thank you," you smiled, "not that being you sucks, but being pregnant is a total drag."
She laughed and nodded, "Yes, just be thankful it's only been around a week or two for you."
"Oh, I am so thankful."
"Where am I?" The other Loki asked, glancing around the nursery, a fond smile working its way onto his face.
"He's meeting with Frigga," you replied.
"Great, I shall meet them there and we'll get this settled."
Stepping forward, he pressed a quick kiss to the top of her head, which was very peculiar for you to witness, then offered you a quick smile before turning on his heel and stalking out.
She watched him leave with a loving smile and then stood up with something of a wistful sigh.
"He really is something."
"You got lucky there," you replied with a nod.
"As you will," she laughed softly, leaning against the nearby crib.
"I doubt that somehow."
"I know so, if this is what you want."
"What makes you so sure?"
"Because I am you, this is your future."
"You know that for certain?"
She huffed a laugh and nodded, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Yes, we've been working with Strange for about two hours now to make sure we're right, we've searched for all possible outcomes just to be sure but," she stopped and shrugged, glancing around the room, "this is definitely what you have to look forward to, if you choose him."
You frowned a little, your leg beginning to bounce as you continued rocking the chair.
"What about Amora?"
"Yes, what about her?"
"Her and Loki seem pretty....close, intimate?"
She rolled her eyes and scoffed.
"Amora is like that with everyone, only difference is most fall for her charming magic and Loki doesn't, which drives her a little wild, but Loki hardly reciprocates it."
"Really?"
"I've had many discussions with Loki about our past and he's very adamant about his opinion on her, an Enchantress who isn't that enchanting, as he'd put it."
You laughed softly and nodded, worrying your lip between your teeth.
Finally, you lifted your eyes to meet hers, finding it utterly surreal to be looking at the you that you were more familiar with seeing in the mirror.
"So, this is truly my future?"
"If you decide to go down the path I did with Loki?" She smiled and nodded, "then yes, truly."
"What path would I need to take?"
She let out a small hum and pushed away from her leaning post, walking over to crouch in front of you again and return to caressing your extended stomach.
"I can't tell you that much, I can't tell you any specifics that will sway your decision, but you'll know when the moment happens."
