Unknown POV
I was running as fast as I could, I saw my parents just ahead fighting through the incoming swarm of minions as they defended me from disarming the bomb. I fiddled carefully and quickly with the wires, disarming it in a steady fashion so I could call to my parents that we could leave. With one more wire to disconnect I jump up in glee, "bomb's diffused, let's get out of here!" I called out, spinning on my heel.My parents made their way closer to me and continued to fight off the hoard and I joined them in doing so. "Get out of here, there's too many of then," my father told my mother and I. Typical of her, my mother sighed in frustration and stayed her ground, "if you think I'm leaving you, think again." He grinned and they both turned to me, "you've got to go, we'll fight them and meet you back at home," they told me. I shook my head, my mother's stubbornness was an inherited trait, "I'm not leaving you guys. It'll be easier with more of us."
As we stayed the threat only grew larger. Deathstroke joined the fray and my parents struggled to fend him off and his goons. As I turned to deflect a punch I heard my mother growl in anger and when I looked back my father was putting pressure on his side, blood leaking from it. My mother's temper was terrible at times, especially when it put her family at risk. She drew the katanas from her back and charged at Deathstroke. I panicked as I saw the trap lying in wait, a hidden blade. "Watch out!" I shouted toward her, but she was too angry to listen, still charging at him.
I cried out in pain as I was stabbed in the shoulder, the distraction of my parents causing me to forget the goons I had been fighting. Whilst left open they had stabbed me, but after the first burst of pain, I had whirled around to deflect the rest. "Get out of here! Run!" My mother shouted at the top of her voice. I began crying because I knew that they were hurting, I didn't want to lose them. "Run! We'll find you, no matter where you are, no matter what world." I took my mother's word to heart and ran. I would find them and save them again.
Robin's POV
It was another slow day in the Wayne household. I was taking advantage of the silence to fill it with music, Damian and I sat together at the piano, enjoying its sound together. He was showing something he had learned and he was adamant that I learn it so we could play it as a duet. I was watching his fingers move and listening to him talk his way through the sheet music with me. "Sister are you paying attention," Damian snapped at me as I zoned out."Yeah, I am, just a little sleepy after last night's patrol Dami."
Last night I had gone on patrol with Jason and we were occupied all night escaping people who wanted vengeance on the Red Hood, and me, simply by my affiliation as the sister of the Hood.
"You should have got more sleep," Damian told me off.
"Dick woke me up and I couldn't get back to sleep," I explained.
"Perhaps Grayson should sleep in his own bed then."
"He already was Dami, I slept in his bed last night."
Damian was about to make a firm suggestion, but a portal appeared in the floor behind us and I stood up to shield my younger brother. As it grew it eventually spat out a child about Damian's age. She looked at me and then Damian, tears in her eyes. Then she passed out.
Damian and I looked to one another before I ran over to the girl. I picked her up in my arms as Damian ran to get Alfred to ready a med bay. I portalled down to the cave and place the young girl on the bay. "Who is she, Miss Robin?" Alfred asked.
I shrugged my shoulders, "we don't know, she just appeared."
The same girl's eyes quickly burst open and she began panicking, her breaths short and tight. I moved over to her and grabbed her hand, attempting to comfort her.
