Dick's POV
When I woke, it was unusual to see the space beside me empty. Especially since I had awoken early at a time Robin described many times as 'too bloody early' when I've woken her previously, but it appears that today she had beaten me. I left my room and greeted the others as I headed downstairs. Alfred was busy cooking, Damian and Tim were arguing at the table and Bruce was sat reading the paper. "Has anyone seen Robin?"

"I thought she was with you?" Bruce commented, looking over the top of the newspaper. "She was, but she's already up. Dami did you see her?"

"I didn't see sister at all. She hates getting up early."

"I know but today she did. And she didn't sleep portal last night before you suggest anything as I would've known, she used me as a pillow all night."

"We weren't suggesting anything, why don't you ask Alfred," Bruce told me. I nodded and headed on through to the kitchen. "Morning Al! Have you seen Robin at all?" I asked.

"Not this morning Master Dick, but Miss Robin is never fond of mornings. Perhaps one of the others know?"

"Afraid not Al. It's like she disappeared. I'd better check her tracker in the cave."
I gave Alfred a quick smile before heading down to the cave. Damian was already there when I arrived. "I thought I'd check for you. Apparently, she's still here," Damian showed me the display, where her tracker was located in my room. "She isn't though."

"Maybe she removed her tracker again. Perhaps Todd helped her do it."

"She wouldn't do that, she knows why it's there now. She wouldn't remove it."

"Maybe someone else removed it?"

"Not likely. With our defences and security, nobody could get to her. I was in the same room as her too so why didn't they do anything to me too."

"Hmm. Looks like sister is missing. We should check your room for the device to be sure."

I nodded, but before I could leave an alert spread across the screen of the bat computer.

'All women had disappeared'

"Damian, it appears Robin isn't the only one missing. Look at this," I showed him. Moments later the rest of the others had joined us. Bruce was awake and ready, Tim came down with a slice of toast in his mouth and Jason came down dressed but bedraggled, his hair a mess and his eyes half open from lack of sleep. I had a call from Wally about it too along with a message from my precinct. There was a lot of work to do.

Leaving the rest of the team at home I headed out to my day job at the precinct. With such a large issue worldwide and half our staff missing, there was no better place for me to be. It's a shame though as when I pulled into work there wasn't as many staff missing as I presumed and was disappointed that our force didn't have as large a female presence as I'd thought we'd had.

"Morning Richard, you're assignment for today is on your desk," my boss told me in passing. I nodded and lifted a hand to greet him, waving shortly as I sat at my desk. Opening the file I saw a list of addresses. Looking through them all I found a note at the bottom explaining my task. I was to go to these addresses, all the children at these addresses lived with single mothers. Single mothers who had now disappeared. I had to go check the kids were okay, escort them to safety and defend them from thieves and kidnappers.

My first case was two boys, a twelve year old and his nine year old brother. I was already aware that centres were being set up for children with missing parents and that parents who were missing a child were also advised to come to either find their sons or to offer help with the children who had lost their mothers. As I parked up a little away from the building I took a quick look up and down the street. It seemed like a cleaner neighbourhood, a safer part of town. I made sure my badge was visible and my gear in check and made my way over to the boys house, pressing the doorbell after I'd climbed the small flight of stairs to the porch.
