"You little shit. I want you to give me a verbal answer when I talk to you. You're worthless and you deserve nothing. You'll treat me with respect. Got it?" Kyle growled at me with livid eyes that pierced holes through my skull.

I whimpered in fear and whispered. "Y-Yes."

"Yes, what?" His bloodshot eyes grew angrier at me, making me go numb.

He wants me to call himself Dad when he will never come close to being my Dad. I have beaten a lot on this matter but I have never called him Dad and Riley, Mom.

I found myself falling on the ground when his large hand slammed against my left cheek. A tear escaped my eye.

His fist clenched as he stepped towards me, the flames of anger were blazing through him and his black eyes were burning with indignation.

I crawled away in an attempt to move away from him but he grabbed my ankle and bent down. He grabbed my face between his hands and before I knew it, he started to hit my cheeks hard.

I felt my vision going blurry from the uncountable slaps on both sides of my cheeks.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang to my rescue. His face went furious at the sound. He stood up, leaving my small body helplessly on the ground.

"A single voice should not reach my ears." He ordered, shooting me one of the scariest looks.

"Y-Yes." I stuttered out with an obedient nod.

I noticed Riley stood in the doorway. She spat out, staring at me. "Worthless child." And on that, Kyle left my room, locking the door behind him.

I drew my knees to my chest, still shaking from the abuse I had undergone. I could feel the tears rolling and staining down my face.

I would never forgive you, Mom.

When I heard a loud voice coming from downstairs, I raised my head to the door, wanting to check out but couldn't.

What if it's one of his friends? No one knows about my existence except his friends who are closest to him.

"there's no kid in this house." I heard Kyle's voice shaking in his words.

"T-That's a lie." Riley perked up at something.

"Here's a witness."

"How could you do this to me, William!? Weren't you supposed to be on my side? Out of all my friends, you were one of them I've trusted the most and told everything about.." I could hear Kyle shrieking angrily at his friend, I knew all too well. "That child."

"We need to meet up with the kid. Where have you locked him?"

Even up here, I could feel the silence filled with tension through the room.
