C O N N O R

Darkness has locked me. A complete absence of light coated the surroundings, suffocating my body like a musty, thick blanket, clinging to every inch of my pale skin. For a moment or two, I got nonplussed on my own, falling into a complicated haze.

Cold sweat glistened on my troubled eyebrow. With hands clasped tightly, and the fiddling of knuckles was perpetual, my face indicated rigid with anxiety and it was apparent to any human to discern me as I have aged a decade in the past few hours.

I couldn't feel anything. I couldn't touch anything. I couldn't even move. Every muscle felt tight, sprung for action and there was a moment passed where I was unable to grasp the recent events that took place, involving myself at the most.

I was still existing in the world as a living breathing human being, wasn't I?

Suddenly, I realized something.

My feet were bare as I was able to feel the sense of the ground, I was lying down.

As soon as I blinked my eyes actively, the lack of light bothered me, and all the memories promptly flickered through my brain.

The gun was veered to the front direction, Maverick fell to the ground.

I shot up with a loud gasp, wrapping my arms around me. "Maverick!"

He was shot because of me. He acted so selfish to care about his life. Something terrible must have happened to him.

Slowly and gradually, I began to regain consciousness.

The frown placed on my face while millions of thoughts racing through my head after being aware of the situation, I'm in, didn't help any better. The wave of shivers plagued me, resulting in me, anxiety.

It's been a considerable time since I have existed in plenty of gloom and dismay around me.

Another sparing a glance to the wall, made my stomach knotted up. I felt my throat constricted while managing to get up from the floor, before dusting off my black pants which had stained dirt spread on all over it.

At the moment, I took a step forward, a twinge of awful pain in my feet caused me to groan out.

I realized, I accidentally, hit the ground because of the immense water, covering the area, while running towards Maverick when he got shot.

I was caught by them before I could reach my brother.

He must be in excruciating pain, presently, just because of me!

Despite the awful pain and the steady shaking of my legs, I did make a move with the help of my legs, though the thought of being tripped kept me afraid. But scrutinizing my gaze in the front, it didn't take me more than a minute to ascertain the grimy brown door.
